About the home

The apartment complex is located on a hillside overlooking the Old Town of Albufeira and Fisherman's Beach. Situated on the top floor, the apartment offers fantastic views to the sea and old town of Albufeira.

The large L shaped terrace, which many guests have commented they have spent most of their holiday wining and dining upon, entertains you with the constantly changing marine and beach activity. The lounge area, like the outdoor terrace, is south facing with floor to ceiling patio windows offering the same panoramic views.

The complex itself incorporates a large outdoor swimming pool with poolside snack bar (the snack bar being open during peak season only).

Only 5 minutes walk away you find yourself in the quaint Old Town of Albufeira with its restaurants, bars and refurbished Fisherman's square offering full entertainment for adults and children alike. Car hire is not necessary as two large supermarkets are within 5 to 10 minutes walk and a smaller supermarket is within a 2-minutes stroll.

Salgados, Vilamoura, Pine Cliffs and Vila Sol golf courses are all within a 10- to 15 minute drive. The location of this apartment with it's terrific views ensure you won't be disappointed.

Entering the apartment you are welcomed by an open plan, light and spacious area offering you an upper dining level, equipped kitchen, access to the large bedroom and bathroom with shower and a lower lounge area incorporating a FREESAT TV showing English channels and local Portuguese stations. Heating is available should it be necessary.

The apartment sleeps 2 spaciously and 4 comfortably. The two single beds in the bedroom can be pushed together into a double, and there are 2 sofa beds in the living area.

The large balcony has, a dining table with 4 chairs and is accessed via patio doors from both the lounge area and bedroom.

The complex comprises of a mixture of residential and holiday lets. There is a large outdoor swimming pool with poolside snack bar for guests and residents only. There is street parking.

Access to the apartment and pool area is via steps so therefore may not be suitable for less mobile guests. Security is excellent.

An English and Portuguese representative is available to contact should you require assistance.

Check-in time is usually 2.00pm onwards with check-out time being 11.00am. We will, however, try to be as flexible as possible with these timings taking into consideration the arrival or departure of guests on the same day.

Whilst linen, bath/hand towels are provided, please ensure you bring your own beach towels for use on the terraces, around the pool and on the beach. These can also be ready and cheaply purchased locally in town.

Rates are per week for the whole apartment for up to 2 guests. Should there be more in your party, please add an extra £10.00 per person, per week.

20% non-refundable deposit required to secure dates, remainder monies due one calendar month prior to your stay. We also ask for a £100 refundable security deposit to be sent with your final payment. This is refunded to you after checkout.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The borough of Albufeira is considered the tourist capital of the Algarve and therefore receives considerable investment into improvements of its tourist facilities and infrastructure. A favourite destination for everyone because of its multiple attractions whether you want a quiet romantic meal, a lively night life or something for the whole family to enjoy.

Free entertainment is provided in the squares throughout the summer and the beautiful, award winning beaches offer para gliding, various water sports and tours of the coast line and caves. Put together with the varied golf courses, glorious countryside, water parks and many other outdoor pursuits on offer, this is a destination that can't fail to fulfil all of your holiday expectations.

The old town has been transformed into a virtually car free zone and is therefore pedestrian friendly and aptly suitable for families with small children. The local authorities are making the town into an all year round resort and promote many free concerts (often accompanied by fire work displays at midnight) and sporting events throughout the year.

The Algarve is blessed with a temperate climate, boasting in excess of 3000 hours of sunshine per year, and therefore lends itself to outdoor living, the numerous and varied beaches being considered some of the best in the world having received many awards for cleanliness and safety.

The Portuguese people, renowned for their friendly charm, hospitality and excellent cuisine are one of Europes' best hosts. Try their fresh, locally caught fish, Sardines being one of their specialities, or their typical Algarvian dishes such as steak on the stone. If chicken is your desire then a "MUST" is to go to the village of Guia, the chicken piri piri capital of the world, which is only a short taxi ride away.

The Albufeira / Central Albufeira area

The apartment complex is perfectly situated overlooking the Old Town area, so while it benefits from being away from the over-populated 'touristy' areas, it's still just a few minutes walk from the Old Town, which now has escalator access down to the fisherman’s beach and square, where regular free concerts are staged throughout the summer months.

The Albufeira marina is a 30-minute gentle stroll from the apartment where boat trips can be booked for visits to the coastal caves, dolphin watching, deep-sea fishing, diving and snorkelling or a relaxing day long coastal boat trip with a BBQ lunch on a secluded beach. Concerts are also held at the marina during the high season.

For night life-seekers the famous Montechoro 'Strip' is a few Euros taxi ride away as are many famous golf courses, water slide parks and zoo marine which are also accessible by car, bus or taxi.
A tourist train also operates throughout the day and evening should you wish to explore the new town areas.

There's something to appeal to everyone, from the non stop night life found in the new town Strip, to the allure of relaxed alfresco dining overlooking the sea in the old town.

“a room with a view” a fantastic apartment with a fantastic veiw thats worth all the steps and the hill .. this apartment has all you need and more for a wonderfull holiday in old town albuferia. close to the shops pubs restaurants and beach .. the sevice from phillippa is first class she couldnt be more helpful .. the kitchen and bathroom do need updateing but the view and large balcony make up for this .. if im going back to portugal ill be booking this apt again ..

“The best view ever from a fabulous apartment” I stayed in this apartment with my husband and two teenage children (my sister and her family rented apartment do sol from Phillipa also). The apartment is large and loads of room, perfect for four people. The kitchen was well equipped and also had a washing machine which was great for washing towels etc, The balcony was the best ever and the view was unbelievable, there was table, chairs and two sun loungers - we spent most of our time on the balcony. The apartment was very secure with a code to enter it and it also had a safe inside , it was about 5 minutes down a hill to the escalator which took you right to the old town and the beach. The pool in the complex was great with plenty of sun beds, the snack bar was closed the week we were there. From the beginning of the booking of this apartment to the end Phillipa Ward was fabulous - her communication and booking instructions were 100% she also organised the transfers for us - a great hassle free holiday. First time I ever used Holiday Lettings and it won't be the last. Can't recommend this apartment highly enough, you couldn't get better at the bargain price! Thank you Phillipa and I look forward to returning.

“Can't wait to book for next year!!” A fantastic holiday in every way. The apartment was excellent and had everything in it to make for a great holiday. We spent most of the time on the balcony, couldn't get enough of that view! We stocked up on the first day, with lovely cheeses, meats and fruit etc, from the large supermarket 10 mins walk away, then my husband would walk down to the little shop 2 mins walk away, every morning for the bread (and his paper) So it was tapas and wine every lunchtime, with a view to die for! We didn't even need to go anywhere else to sunbathe as there were 2 sunloungers on the balcony. I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly if i tried! CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!

“This apartment is simply wonderful” We had the best holiday ever, the apartment was amazing, my husband and I fell in love with it instantly. The view was fantastic and to be honest we spent a good bit of the holiday on that balcony – just wonderful. We will definitely be booking again for next year.

“Great views great apartment manager.” Brilliant management by Philippa nothing was too much trouble, the taxi driver even carried our cases up.. High up so lots of stairs but the view was brilliant. Couldn't hear the noise from the town at night which we normally can. And bliss no building noise.

“nice apartment, fantastic balcony, lovely place” my girlfriend and i stayed in vista do mar in may and had a fantastic time. a lovely apartment with a great balcony, overlooking the old town and the sea. 5 mins walk into the town and to the beach, and reasonably close to the airport. we'll certainly be going back

“Great apartment with gorgeous view!” My two friends and I (all late twenties) stayed here for 4 nights at the end of the summer. It was our first time in Portugal and we loved it! The apartment is very spacious and comfortable for 3 people. The balcony is amazing and we spent a lot of time on it enjoying the view, sunbathing and drinking sangria! It is a few minutes walk to the nearest shop and 10 minutes to the lovely beach. The pool area is very nice, but the snack bar was only open once when we were there. We really enjoyed Albufeira and the nightlife is brilliant. We were impressed with Philippa's organisation and Adrian was very helpful when we were there. We definitely want to return as soon as possible!

“A view well worth climbing the hill for!” Yes, it's on a hill. Yes, it's up lots of steps. But when you see that view over Fisherman's Beach and the old town, you'll definitely think it's worth the effort, even when it's really hot, which it was when we stayed. A major plus for Albufeira since our last visit maybe 9 or 10 years ago is the elevator which glides you down to Fisherman's beach where once there were a hundred or so very dodgy steps! The apartment itself is clean and well-maintained, although if you lived in it you'd perhaps want to update the kitchen and bathroom. But as somewhere to stay for a week or so it's perfect, really. There are shops close by for all your essentials, and the bars and restaurants of the old town are only a short walk away. The snack bar wasn't serving food when we were there, but that could have been a blessing as we spent more time on our own balcony and prepared lunches ourselves, which saved some Euros. Great pool area too!

“Just What The Doctor Ordered” My wife and I stayed here in September for 9 nights and had a great time. The absolute best thing about this apartment is the view from the balcony it is incredible and looks over Fishermen's Beach and almost all of the Old Town of Albufeira, it is a view you will never tire of. It is also very private and quiet as nobody above you or to one side. We had superb weather and spent most of our days sunbathing on the balcony as when it gets too hot there is a shaded area outside to cool down in. The apartment itself is very roomy and comfortable and has everything you need (our only complaint was that the bath is a bit grubby and should be replaced). It is situated on an eleveated position (hence the superb views) but is only around 10-15 mins walk into the Old Town via the escalator near Fishermen's Beach. Around the apartment there are a few nice bars and restaurants, our favourite was Fabio's Havana Bar (just along the road from the apt) he does superb mojitos for 3.5euro (make sure you try the strawberry one, superb) there is also a small shop nearby with a larger supermarket around 15 mins away. We loved it here and will definately return sometime soon and would definately recommend.
