The apartment is extremely well furnished and very comfortable. A new, modern and fully equipped kitchen has been installed. The apartment is fully air conditioned. The two bedrooms are very large (1 double and 1 twin). Additional sleeping options are provided by a sofa bed in the living room and an extra fold-up bed. There are 2 bathrooms (1 en suite). The large living and dining area are open plan. The apartment has cable television, DVD and CD players. There is a large library of CDs, DVDs and Videos. The private roof terrace is ideal for a bit of 'al fresco' dining, and enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the magnificent views or simply for sunbathing. The landscaped gardens are beautifully maintained with plenty of mature palm trees, fruit trees and shrubs. The complex is awash with colour for most of the year. The Windmill has been lovingly restored and sits alongside the swimming pool and snack bar where a little Jazz music in the background is the perfect accompaniment to a light meal or drink.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal and it's one of Europe's favourite holiday destinations well known for glorious year round sunshine and excellent sandy beaches.
The Algarve is hilly, but traversed with rich valleys. Its higher point is the Mountain range of Monchique.The region is also the home of the Ria Formosa lagoon, a nature reserve of over 170 square kilometres and a stopping place for hundreds of different birds.
The Algarve is a popular tourist destination, primarily because of its clean, warm water beaches, Mediterranean climate, safety and relatively low costs. The length of the south-facing coastline is approximately 155 kilometres.
Albufeira / Windmill Hill area
Albufeira is one of the Algarve’s most popular resorts but retains its distinctive Portuguese character. The historic town is particularly pretty with its narrow cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses, restaurants and shops. The central square is a good place to sit and watch the world go by.
The area around Albufeira provides opportunities to indulge in all varieties of watersports. In addition, there are superb golf courses, aqua parks, zoo and attractive villages within a short distance of the town.
An additional attraction in the area is the new Marina de Albufeira with its controversial architecture and 474 moorings.
How to get there
Windmill Hill is 40km from Faro airport. The airport is well serviced by budget airlines. Taxis cost EUR35/EUR45. Journey time is about 45 minutes. Car hire also available.

Further details indoors: The open plan living room has cable television and a DVD player. A second TV and VCR is set up in the second bedroom. The roof terrace has four sunbeds and a portable BBQ.
Further details outdoors: The complex, which is just eight to ten minutes' walk from the beach and Albufeira old town, is low rise, consisting of only 91 units and is caringly maintained. The paths throughout are cobbled. The swimming pool (including children's section) is beautifully positioned alongside the windmill and has lovely panoramic views of Albufeira old town and the magnificent coastline. The complex also boasts two tennis courts and a snack bar.

The complex is opened all year round though the snack bar is typically closed between November and March.
Conditions
A 20%deposit is required at time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. The changeover day is Saturday during the peak season, otherwise flexible.
