The friendly local bar 'Cabanitas' is just 2 mins walk where locals, holidaymakers and ex-pats alike gather to eat, drink and watch football. You can easily spend your holiday exploring the restaurants within walking distance, but if you want a big night out, head to the local fishing town of Albufeira, which is only 10 mins away. Close to all Vale Parra amenities you'll find restaurants, bars, shops, pharmacy and petrol station within minutes of the apartment.
The apartment is ideally situated for families, at ground level by the pool with a terrace basking in sunlight from lunchtime into the evening. Light and airy, the apartment's 2 bedrooms and the living area have air conditioning to maintain a cool temperature. Comfortable furnishings allow you to make this a home from home during your stay and a well equipped kitchen for those afternoon snacks and cold drinks. Patio doors from the master suite and lounge lead to the terrace, ideal for al fresco dining or alternatively a communal BBQ area is available for use.

This property is to Alojamento Local standard. This is the Local Letting Scheme which requires high levels of safety and a full gas and electricity inspection.
The property has smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and First Aid Kit, as required by the local scheme.
The apartment is fully contained self-catering accommodation with washing machine and dishwasher. There is therefore no maid service.
For stays of two weeks or more a change of linen / towels can be provided halfway through your stay.

Golf club hire and green fees can be arranged.
25% deposit required with return of booking form. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before date of arrival.
A security deposit of £150 is also collected. This will be refunded within two weeks of departure, subject to satisfactory security inspection.
The cost of cleaning the apartment on departure is included - but if mess is excessive or damage is caused - a further fee will be charged.
The interior of our property is strictly no-smoking but you can smoke on the terrace at the front or back of the property.
The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The great weather in the Algarve attracts many visitors throughout the year. Summers are long and dry with up to 12 hours of sunshine per day and temperatures reaching 30C. Visit any beach and you'll find a coastal breeze that feels more comfortable. Winters are equally pleasant and mild with temperatures reaching 15-20C making this destination ideal for those that like to be out and about without too much heat and too many people outside peak season.
A key attraction to the Algarve is it's unspoilt countryside and the fact it isn't overdeveloped so you get to see the area in its natural beauty as it has been for many years. Of course there are some key towns to visit including Albufeira Old Town, Silves and Carvoeiro and the modern development of Vilamoura to name a few. Small villages are plentiful and you will find locals most welcoming where ever you visit.
The Albufeira / Vale de Parra area
Vale Parra has a host of restaurants and a few bars that are sure to keep you entertained throughout your visit. Restaurants are plentiful in choice including traditional Algarvian food, Italian and Chinese, details for all of which can be found in the apartment. Many restaurants also offer take away as an option. If you have a sweet tooth, pop into the bakery 5 mins walk down the road, you're sure to find something to enjoy with morning or mid afternoon coffee.
Cabanitas is a favourite for all visitors to Vale Parra where most sporting events can be viewed whilst enjoying good company. Litrus bar often hosts band evenings and karaoke nights and enjoys a mix of visitors and locals as well as an extensive cocktail menu. You will find that almost everywhere in Vale Parra is child friendly, mainly due to Portuguese hospitality. For those quiet nights in 'Favorita' general store is but a few minutes away where you can find many local and UK items as well as anything you've forgotten to pack in your case.
A short drive brings you to Guia which is famous for it's 'Piri Piri' chicken restaurants - try 'Ramirez' for a cheap but authentic chicken dinner. Gale beach provides cafe's and exellent fish restaurants. For those on a tight budget, a short drive in almost any direction local restaurants can be found where you're sure to find some fantastic traditional food without busting the bank.
There is much within a short drive of Vale Parra including many golf courses, Algarve shopping which includes a cinema and many, many shops including Continente supermarket as well as Aqua Land waterpark and the Algarve's Marine Park to keep the kids entertained.
Salgados beach is a must during your visit with miles of sandy beach where sunbeds can be hired or a secluded quiet area can be found even in the height of summer. The lagoon offers a boardwalk with fantastic wildlife. Life guards operate in the summer months and watersports are available for energetic types.
There is also a pharmacy close by should any mishaps occur during your stay!

The property is only 25 mins drive from Faro Airport.
Many budget airlines fly from all over the UK and Ireland to Faro. Check out Easyjet, Ryanair, Flybe, Monarch and many more. High competition between airlines keeps prices cheaper than many other holiday destinations. Book early for some real bargains to get to there for less than £100 per person.
Although it is possible to have great holiday at Encosta without one, we recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay. Try: economycarhire.com for great deals on car rentals. They are the cheapest we have found and offer no excess, include extra drivers free and allow passage to Spain without further charge.
If you want a car free holiday, let us know and we can arrange pick up and return to the airport. You can then walk to many restaurants and supermarkets or catch the local bus into Albufeira. Albufeira is only a short taxi ride away and only costs around €9 each way.

This is our second trip to this apartment, once with a 9 month old baby and once before baby arrived. We have nothing but good things to say about the place.
Apartment is fully kitted out with all the mod cons, is clean and tidy and child friendly (travel cot and seat are on site for use). Only 20 paces to swimming pool with nice areas to chill out by pool or just outside apartment.
Vale de Para is a very nice place for eating out and having drinks with family. Restaurants are very reasonably priced and are all within walking distance from the apartment. Staff in all restaurants/bars are very friendly.
Beach is only 5/10 minutes drive away and is very clean and easily accessable.
Of course being the algarve lots of quality golf courses around and are easily reached if you have hired a car.
Overall i would recommend to any of my friends or family and will be going back in the futured.

Apartment modern, clean and well provided for - easy to find and owner very helpful with advice and support. Sun on the apartment all day - not noisy at night time either.
Have children ranging from 7-16 yrs and all found plenty to do in the area - the swimming pool is cleaned daily - and although busy, never crowded. Beach within 30 minute walk, good selection of restaurants in walking distance. Open top bus to Albuferia meant shopping was easy for the teenagers - and more beaches to explore
