About the home

Our light airy apartment is extremely comfortable and welcoming, a real home from home, furnished for our own use and not just the rental market. Air conditioning and heating is included in the price. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

The master bedroom with twin beds has patio doors leading onto the terrace and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds and a foldaway bed if required. Both have ample storage. The open plan living/dining area has a double sofa bed, large dining table, TV, Stereo and DVD player. Patio doors lead from here to the sun terrace.

The modern kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons. There is plenty of crockery and utensils (enough for full family cooking if you really want to!). All linen provide,. Full linen change at the end of each week. Just bring your own beach towels. We also provide a washing machine, airers and an iron for your personal laundry.

Air conditioning and fans are included for our summer guests. For our winter visitors, portable radiators and a log fire provide the perfect ambience for a cosy night in. There is a TV, Stereo and DVD player; please bring your own CDs and DVDs.

Further details outdoors:
Outside you will find a large dining table and parasol, 6 dining chairs and 2 sun beds. We provide a barbecue and utensils.

The complex has 4 communal pools each with spacious sun bathing areas, all of the pools have snack bars and at the heart of the resort is a friendly poolside restaurant "O'Pavilhao" serving everything from ice-creams to international cuisine throughout the day.

There is a pool table and football table outside the restaurant as well as a mini golf course and a small children's playground. Guests at Club Albufeira can also use the facilities across the road at the Camping Albufeira complex (access via footbridge). Here you will find a supermarket with on-site bakery, newspaper kiosk, craft and gift shop, tennis courts, football pitch, large sandy play area, restaurant, cafeteria, disco with live entertainment in high season.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

With over 300 days of sunshine every year and over 100 miles of dramatic coastline, the southern tip of Portugal known as the Algarve makes the ideal destination for a holiday in the sun. Many of its famous sandy beaches have been awarded the EU blue flag for cleanliness and safety so it’s great for families.

You certainly wont go hungry in the Algarve! There is an enormous selection of restaurants throughout the region, which range from very reasonably priced Portuguese restaurants specialising in excellent fresh grilled fish, wonderful salads and a wide range of seafood, to mid priced international restaurants and more expensive gourmet cuisine.

The Algarvians are friendly, honest, courteous and very child-friendly people who will make you feel very welcome.

The Albufeira / Club Albufeira area

The bustling town of Albufeira was once a peaceful fishing village. Now a charming holiday resort, its narrow streets are lined with Algarvian white washed houses, restaurants, bars and shops, all perched over its famous long, sandy Fisherman's beach. A daily market sells handicrafts and jewellery and its pretty square plays host to many street entertainers and festivals throughout the summer. A great place to watch the world go by with a glass of 'vinho verde"!

If you prefer your entertainment to be a little more upbeat then visit the east side of town. The beach area of Praira d'Oura and the lively centre of Montechoro are linked by Albufeira's famous "Strip" a mile long lively tourist area packed with shops, bars, thriving night life and every type of cuisine.

Clube Albufeira is very conveniently situated just a couple of minutes drive from the Old and new town areas, making it an ideal location whatever type of holiday you are looking for. The low rise apartments are widely spread on the hillside and ours is positioned in beautiful landscaped gardens with superb open views. No need to fight for the sunbeds here, our apartment has a fabulous sun bathing terrace with cushioned sun beds and chairs for your private use.

The pool areas are great for families with large grassy areas for play as well as sunbathing, the largest pool area is beautifully designed with two jacuzzis and a children's area, separated from the main pool by an in-pool bar! If you wish to do more than lie in the water then you can join the daily aqua aerobics in high season.

Fly to Faro Airport. Clube Albufeira is just a 30 minute drive.

Flexible changeover days so take advantage of cheaper midweek flights with many scheduled and budget airlines. Faro is now easily reached from many smaller regional as well as all major UK airports.
There are many charter flights to the Algarve with all usual tour operators but for midweek and/or early booking bargains check out www.jet2.com, www.flymonarch.com, www.thomsonfly.com, www.flybe.com, www.easyjet.com, www.flythomascook.com, www.bmibaby.com.

We can arrange private transfers from the airport for 40 Euros each way up to 4 passengers, 50 Euros each way for 5 or 6 passengers, payable directly to the driver on arrival.
Car hire is not essential as there is a courtesy bus twice a day into the old town and public transport outside the complex. However,as Albufeira is conveniently situated in central Algarve many beautiful towns, beaches, golf courses and attractions can be easily reached by car in minutes so you may like to hire a car for some of your stay.
