About the home

This stylish 2 bedroom property is situated on the second floor and boasts a modern and contemporary feel. It has been thoughtfully furnished with high quality furnishings and mod cons provided for your stay.

An open plan kitchen / living / dining area is spacious allowing easy movement for 4 guests and leads onto a large terrace complete with table and chairs. The terrace is also directly accessed from both bedrooms and overlooks the beautiful gardens and pools. There is one spacious double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom and separate bathroom. The property has air-conditioning throughout.

The fabulous Herdade dos Salgados resort is situated alongside one of the Algarve's famous golf courses, Salgados. The development features 7 pools within beautifully manicured, well maintained gardens. The apartment has easy access to all amenities, including local markets, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. This apartment will provide a holiday that will be remembered.

A pleasant short stroll leads you to the onsite clubhouse which holds an indoor pool, spa facilities and a restaurant / bar furnished to a very high standard achieving an exclusive, contemporary feel. There is also a crèche available for a kids club and babysitting (summer only), which means parents get the chance to have a holiday too. There is an on-site mini supermarket and cafe/takeaway. A larger supermarket is just a two minute walk.

Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the rental fee is required to secure booking. Balance payment is due 4 weeks before the start of the rental period.

A refundable breakage/security deposit of £200 is to be paid in cash on arrival. This is normally refunded on departure but no later than 10 days after your departure (subject to a satisfactory property inspection).

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve is one of the world's most attractive holiday destinations offering 160 km of gorgeous, golden, sandy beaches, rocky coves, clear waters, rugged cliffs and enchanting grottoes.

The region is blessed with a wonderful climate, ideal for swimming, sunbathing and water sports in summer, and mild enough in spring, autumn and winter for tennis, golf, clifftop or countryside walking, exploring and sightseeing.

Despite the obvious influence of tourism, a short drive inland reveals the true Algarve where life goes on much as it has for many centuries. This brightly coloured and verdant region is filled with orange groves, almond trees in blossom, carob and fig trees, and fragrant pines as well as some cork farms which are still in operation today.

The Mediterranean plants and trees put on a magnificent show throughout the year and there are plenty of nature parks and sanctuaries along the whole of the Algarve that attract many animals and birds.

For the sports enthusiasts, the Algarve has ideal conditions and top class facilities; The Algarve boasts a multitude of golf courses with many enjoying highly prized reputations. Watersports are second to none with the West coast beaches offering the best surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions.

Places of interest include the region's capital Faro and its old town, Loule and its market situated in a recently renovated Moorish building, Silves and its red fortress, Caldas de Monchique for its thermal waters, Portimao’s old town and port, Lagos for its vitality and historical interest and Cabo de S. Vicente with its imposing light-house.

Above all, the Algarve is a children's haven with several exciting water parks, 'Zoomarine' sealife centre, horse riding centres and plenty of fun on the beaches!

Whatever your preference, you will find your personal paradise in the Algarve.

The Albufeira / Herdade dos Salgados area

Herdade dos Salgados is a tourism and residential complex that blends in with its natural surroundings of the golf course, beach and Salgados Lagoon. Praia dos Salgados beach extends over 7km of the coastline with beautiful golden sand. The complex has a fabulous golf course with wonderful views being adjacent to the Lagoas dos Salgados lagoons, that are part of the scenic National Ecological Reserve. Here you can see many species of birds including flamingos.

The complex is ideal for holidaymakers seeking peace and tranquility. However, the surrounding area offers much to do and places to explore:

Zoo Marine is based in Guia is a short car/bus ride. Zoo Marine features dolphin and tropical bird shows, an aquarium, fairground rides and swimming pools surrounded by beautiful lakes and gardens. Also at Guia is a large shopping centre with many designer clothes shops and supermarkets.
Water parks - "Aqualand" and "Slide & Splash" are both within a 15 minute drive.

Old town Albufeira is just a short ride away. Here there is a mixture of the historic and traditional flavour of the Algarve with cobbled streets and picturesque leafy town squares, plus a superb variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The Old Town is a very safe family orientated area with free entertainment available nightly at many bars in the summer season.

Even closer is Armacao de Pera a typically Portuguese fishing town. Part of Armacao de Pera beach remains known as 'Fisherman's beach'. Here you can see brightly coloured boats sitting on the sand with local fishermen tending their nets.

There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area most serving fabulous locally caught fish and of course Chicken Piri Piri! Armacao de Pera can be quite lively in the evenings with bars, shops and restaurants along the promenade. In the summer month evenings the promenade also hosts many craft stalls where you can shop for souvenirs whilst enjoying the warm Algarvian sea breeze.

The property is let on a self-catering basis with everything you need including washing machine and dish washer. The property is thoroughly cleaned and prepared before guest arrival with clean towels and bedding. We do NOT provide a maid service. However, where a guest requires a mid-stay clean and/or fresh towels and linen, this can be provided if requested in advance at the time of booking. The charge will be agreed in advance, confirmed in writing, and must be paid directly to the property managers before the departure date.
