The whole experience of your Holiday at "Finca Solana" is to provide you with the classic rural idyll of a place in the country with all the comfort you need to have a peaceful and relaxed time in a beautiful environment. Unload the stress along with your cases, forget about everything , slow down and return home feeling energised and rested.
The house offers you a wonderful place to take a Holiday with large spacious rooms and all the facilities you will need to relax and enjoy yourselves. The fully equipped kitchen and raised dining area overlook the terraces and pool. Both bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, have beautiful views and the mezzanine galleried sitting room is a charming place to relax, providing a music system, television, dvd player and small library.
The fabulous 8 x 4 m pool, which is filtered and solar heated ,has a pool house with a fridge and barbecue and a dining table with chairs, sun loungers and cushions. It's appeal on those hot sunny days make it impossible to resist.

The Costa de Almeria region
The sparkling Levante Coastline has been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness, enabling you to enjoy the many pretty little Coves and grand sweeping Beaches of the Mediterranean. Nearest Beaches are Puerto Rey, 35km, and Villaricos. Whichever direction you take, you will find something to enjoy and treasure as part of your Holiday.
The historic Cities of Granada, Cartagena and Almeria are easily visited as a "day trip". "The Alhambra" in Granada is considered to be one of the Wonders of the World. As well as enjoying the Architecture, the Shopping Centres offer a different type of experience.
The nearby Baza Lakes make a breathtaking journey with spectacular scenery, hot water springs, charming Restaurant and Picnic areas.

Albox / Saliente Alto area
The area of the "Sierra de las Estancias" is a truly beautiful and tranquil place for your Holiday experience. Uninterrupted countryside of Almond & Olive Groves with blue skies makes it a great place to explore and see the Architectural wealth and History of Andalucia. The White Villages of "Velez" are a world apart from "hustle". The views easily rival Ronda and the quiet little cobbled streets and relaxing plazas make you feel you have stepped back in time. With a fabulous Castle and a National Park on offer, it makes it altogether a place not to be missed.
Albox is the nearest town (20 mins by car). It has a large and quite famous weekly Market, Supermarkets, Tapas Bars/Restaurants. Generally, you will be able to sample the "Menu del Dia" for 10 Euros, including drinks.
Just 2 kms up the road is the Saliente Monastery. It is a rare example of Baroque Architecture and the Restaurant not only offers typical food/wine, but also wonderful views and Concerts in the Summer. The local Diving club, also 2 kms away, provides home cooking and a very varied Menu, with a warm welcome.
Organized Walks can be arranged: Tandem Flying, Diving and a little further afield, Tennis, Horse Riding, Water Park and Clay Pigeon Shooting. A local Birdwatching Group is amenable to guests joining them.

The accommodation provides a fully equipped Kitchen overlooking the Pool, a raised Dining Room, delightful Mezzanine Sitting Room, 2 Bathrooms and 2 Bedrooms - 1 Twin and 1 Double.
The age and traditional build of the property with really thick walls make it unnecessary to have air conditioning. However, fans are provided if you need them. Flyscreens are fitted on all the windows and entrance door to enable you to benefit from cooler weather at night in the height of Summer.
Further details outdoors: The house is in its own grounds of 12 acres, with a private drive and electric gates to enter. The 8 x 4 m solar heated filtered private Pool, the Gardens and the Terraces are South facing, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the sun and views all day in the seclusion of their Holiday home. The Pool is exceptionally private and peaceful, with a 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside.

The house and grounds are considered unsuitable for Children under 5 by the Owners. Disabled Guests have stayed in the past, but please discuss your requirements with us before booking.
Guests should bring their own Towels for use by the Pool and the Beach.
Please arrive from 4.00 pm and vacate the house by 10.00 am (local times). Arrival times are negotiable if the property is free. All our guests that stayed in 2009 have commented on the fact that our prices are “ very good value for money". We have, therefore, decided to retain our very competitive reduced prices for 2010 to keep up the same level of interest. Unless, we have a “Special Offer” shown, we are unable to offer any further discounts.
A non-returnable deposit of £150 per week secures your booking. There is a returnable inventory deposit of £150 required against damage/breakages (repaid by internet banking on departure). The balance and inventory are payable 8 weeks prior to your holiday.
Holidays booked at 8 weeks or less require a non-returnable deposit of 50%, & the balance & inventory deposit to be paid by agreement - not less than 1 week before arrival.
If you would like to pay for your Holiday in stage payments rather than deposit/balance, we will be pleased to make suitable arrangements with you.
