This villa is ideal for those seeking a quiet relaxing holiday, it is only approximately 10 minutes drive from the town of Albox with it's shops and facilities and 35-40 minutes from the coastal resort of Mojacar.
The villa is a good size 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa set in large grounds in a rural location near Albox.
There are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom; an en-suite shower room and one further bathroom. A fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and full size fridge/freezer. There is a TV/ DVD/CD combined with TV unit [Satellite TV is freeview only], in the lounge and the villa is fully air conditioned.
Leisure facilities in the area include Albox Club de Tennis, a ten pin bowling alley, go karting, quad biking, mountain biking and horse riding. Golfers will find several courses with a 45 minute drive including the Desert Springs and Valle del Este Golf Resorts. Ski slopes are less than 3 hours drive away in Granada - see the world famous Alhambra Palace at the same time.

This villa is set in it's own private large fully walled and gated grounds, with private swimming pool. The grounds have various paved areas, with shingled drive area and flower beds.
There is a small roof balcony/terrace via stairs at the rear [please note this area is not suitable for small children as it can access the roof]. Almeria airport is about 1 hours drive. We would recommend a car due to the villa's rural location.
There is a patio table and seating for 6, garden seating for 4, and 6 sun beds.

The Andalucia / Almeria Province region
Almeria is easily accessible with flights from the UK and with a good road network from the airport to surrounding areas.
There are many nice beaches at Mojacar such as El Sombrerico Beach which is popular with divers and swimmers with a beach bar serving the local catch. Also, not far from Mojacar is Garrucha Beach, which is a blue flag beach and has a children's play area.
Other atttractions include the monastery at Saliente, the lakes at Bazza, cave houses at Cuevas del Amanzora, Mini Hollywood [a Clint Eastwood classic Western movie location, built by Sergio Leone in the 60s] at Tabernas, Vera Water Park, and idyllic sandy beachs at Mojaca Pueblo and Vera Playa.
The Albox area
Antares is a villa situated just outside the market town of Albox, about 450 metres above sea level. It stands in the mountains of the Almanzora Valley, above Mojacar, in the province of Almeria. The Valley is adorned with orange and lemon groves as well as terraces of olive and almond trees. The mountain air is beautifully clean, the terrain is studded with cacti and grasses and life is tranquil and easy. The stunning mountain ranges change hue with the rising and setting of the sun and the clear night skies display unparralleled views of the stars. The dry river beds - the ramblas - are wonderful to walk and explore.
Albox is a typical Spanish town with white-washed houses and narrow streets. It is surrounded by olive groves and its origins are medieval.
The surrounding area has many outdoor pursuits to offer visitors - there are many country areas to walk and explore, cycling or off-roading and horse-riding to name a few. There is a weekly market held on Tuesdays.
