About the home

The modern design of Villa Manita ensures a very light and airy feel throughout and the very high standard of furnishings offer comfort both inside and out. The living room is extremely spacious, as is the kitchen which also benefits from state of the art appliances. The main living area has large patio doors leading to the swimming pool and private terraced areas, furnished with sofas and dining table. There is much to do in the surrounding areas also, the beach and town centre are within walking distance, the picturesque 'Old Town´ of Altea is approximately 3kms along the coast road and approximately 6kms in the opposite direction is the town of Benidorm which also has beautiful beaches, many shops and lively nightlife......For the golfer, there are no less than three 18 hole golf courses within 10kms plus many more in the area, reservations and discounts can be arranged for most of these courses.

The swimming pool has a shallow end which is ideal for children. The terraces have 3 outdoor sofas, a coffee table plus a large dining table and chairs. The villa is situated in such a way that guests can choose to have sunshine or shade from the various terraces as required.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca, on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, is one of the most beautiful regions of the entire Iberian Peninsula. The 'white coast', takes its name from the endless miles of beautiful sandy beaches which stretch from the Denia in the north to Torrevieja in the south.

In the north, a ridge of mountains runs parallel to the sea creating stunning coastal scenery and a unique microclimate. The area enjoys more than 315 sunshine days a year and an average temperature of 18-19C. It is easy to see why the World Health Organisation described it as having one of the healthiest climates in the world. Thousands of foreigners come here on holiday, fall in love with the place and make it their home.

Travelling south from Spain's second city of Valencia, home to the stunning City of Arts & Science, you reach Denia, a lovely town dominated by an impressive castle, with a bustling commercial centre, delightful old port and a thriving tourist industry. Crossing the impressive Montgo mountain you arrive at the resort of Javea.

Below this is the small and very pretty fishing port of Moraira with its modern yacht marina and hillside developments of whitewashed holiday villas. The town of Calpe is a modern beach resort and has an attractive old quarter and the distinctive Peñon de Ifach rock which dominates the skyline for miles around. Next we arrive at Altea, called by the painter Miro 'the jewel of the Mediterranean'. It is one of the most beautiful towns on the Costa Blanca with its steep, winding, medieval cobbled streets leading up to the blue-domed church and plaza which affords one of the best views in the region.

Approximately 12 klms south of Altea is Benidorm the party capital of the Costa Blanca. And next to it is the pretty picture-book town of Villajoyosa, largely overlooked by foreign tourists. And finally, the wonderful shopping city of Alicante.

The Albir Playa / Alfaz del Pi area

The seaside resort of Albir is a popular cosmopolitan town and is one of the most charming on the Costa Blanca. Along the esplanade interesting boutiques and shops jostle with restaurants and cafe/bars overlooking the sea. In summer on the promenade there are arts and crafts stalls where local artists exhibit their work. Nearby, there is also the picturesque town of Altea with its beautiful old town and historic church and surrounding square which is home to some of the best restaurants in the area. The village of Altea La Vella has a well established 9 hole golf course, the Don Cayo, which can be played as 18. Also within 15 minutes drive there are three 18 hole golf courses, including the championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus. If you prefer to relax on the beach, the area has an abundance of blue flag beaches with crystal clear sea, the area has many other interesting and exciting activities within easy reach:

Terra Mitica – magnificent theme park where ancient civilisations come to life.
Aqualandia – water park with fun rides for all the family.
Mundomar – sealife park.
Terra Natura - animal park taking you on a journey through exotic and ancient worlds.
Guadalest - picturesque fortress town steeped in Moorish history.
Fonts de Algar - natural spring where you can bath in rock pools and climb up waterfalls.
