Home description
Our trullo is named the Trullo Monte del Sale, and nestles in countryside of Alberobello, which is the centre of the trullo world. The trullo has been completely renovated. It has a large patio area with sun loungers and umbrella. At the pool there is a seating area, giving you the opportunity to enjoy that glass of Italian wine whilst you keep an eye on the children.
The real beauty of the property is the tranquillity - set in countryside as it is, it is a million miles away from all the hustle and bustle we encounter in our working lives.
When you explore the land, you'll find masses of olive trees.

The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why. The virtually undiscovered region is rural with historic towns perched on the top of the many hills, painted white to reflect the glistening sun. Puglia is Italy’s largest olive oil producing region with olive trees in every garden it is easy to see why. Every town has a market day selling locally produced goods from fresh fruit and veg, to clothes and shoes, a bargain to be found by all. The sun in July and August can be very strong, but with the weather being pleasant from May through to October there is plenty of time to explore this beautiful region
Alberobello area
The Trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields & characteristically they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs.

How to get there
From the UK, you can get to Alberobello via Ryanair or BA. Ryanair have daily flights from Stansted to both Bari and Brindisi - both these airports are no more than a one hour drive from our property.
The car journey itself is very straightforward, from either airport - a little 30 minute stint on the motorway, and another 30 minutes to get you to the trullo. Our eldest daughter found it ok, so directions really shouldn't be a problem for anyone!
We invariably hire a car with Hertz, since they seem to have some form of discount when you book through the Ryanair web site - if you're going to travel regularly, then make sure you join the 'number 1 club', as this can save you time when you are trying to collect car keys!
