The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is where the Italians holiday. Hot in summer, but not too hot in the hills (typically around 30c) as a breeze cools things down. 20c in the Spring and Autumn. Enough rainfall to keep things green - not barren. Miles of beaches, small hillside villages and streets literally made of marble that have been unchanged since the middle ages.
Like Tuscany was 30 years ago. You'll hear almost exlcusively Italian. Puglia is full of history and culture. All village centres have churches 100s of years old, the unique "trulli" - listed as World Heritage interest (ours is one of only 5000 in existence). Wine, famously delicious food. Puglia is about a healthy, steady pace of life, steeped in history.
Alberobello area
Alberobello is the Trulli Capital of the world. Just 5000 trulli exist, 2000 are in Alberobello. A fascinating town to stroll about. Just 15km away are literally dozens of beaches along the skarling Adriatic coastline.
Ostuni, "the White City", lerally with streets of marble. The world famous Castellan caves, the mystical Castel del Monte. Lecce, the Queen of Baroque. Many Roman ruins. There is nowhere else like this.
How to get there
50 minute's drive from Bari or Brindisi airport. Ryaniar flies direct to both from London Stanstead.
BA flies direct to Bari from Gatwick Apr-Oct. Alitalia, Easyjet, Air One and Swiss to name but a few can get you to Bari from anywhere in the UK with just one change.

Further details indoors: A true trulli. Exposed stonework (all original), white walls, rustic Italian living , yet the latest modern conveniences. Luxury designer beds (locally made in original style), brand new kitchen and bathrooms. The bathroom fittings are the latest German designs.
The kitchen is stocked with a very wide range of new equipment. Lots of space. Huge terraces, play area and your own private olive grove to relax in. Flat screen TV and DVD. Fluffy towels fresh linen. All spotlessly clean when you arrive.
High chair/cot available for infants.
English channels on satellite TV.
There is lots of space to spread out in, whilst luxuriating deep in the Italian counteryside in peace and quiet. The beds are made of wrought iron according to local traditional design. Every detail has been worked upom.
Further details outdoors: Full size pool shared with just one other trullo. Then countryside for miles around. Many trulli have noisy next door neighbours in close proximity. In this case apart from one other trullo (owned by same owner) there is nothing but rolling countryside. Yet the town is just a few mintues' drive away. You have your own private olive grove to explore!

We visited over 100 properties before finding the right place with the right views and surround, yet convenient for all facilities. This is our little bit of heaven.

30% deposit payable at time of booking. Any major currency. Remainder payable 4 weeks before departure. £200 refundable deposit to receive keys and against damage. Returnabe upon key return.
