About the home

Romantic trulli villa, 1 min drive to Alberobello, UNESCO world heritage site, with its famous trulli, shops and restaurants, composed of two separate trulli houses for 4 people each with pool. The property is situated within acres of olive, cherry and fig trees, is surrounded by typical local stone walls and benefits from cooling breeze during the hot summer months. Each house is composed of beautifully furnished living/dining rooms with WI-FI, TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi, I-POD docking station, well equipped kitchen with oven, large fridge/freezer, coffee/cappuccino machine, toaster, kettle. There are 5 cosy and comfortable bedrooms with double beds and twin beds. All furniture are equipped to a high standard. Ironwrought beds and lovely local landscape pictures complete the tasteful furniture. One of the houses has a lovely fireplace.The wonderful local climate can be fully appreciated in the large outside patio area, the solarium area with sunbeds, table and chairs, the amazing pool, the barbecue, the nice array of flowers and plants, the typical olive trees with their strange shapes and other fruit trees. Many activities organized for you ! A welcome pack at your arrival will give you the first taste of this wonderful and enchanting land!

There is an excellent espresso/cappuccino machine for your Italian breakfasts! Microwave available on request. WI-FI available. I-POD docking station. Iron and board.The twin bedded room can be arranged as a double with king size beds . There is an excellent central heating system for cooler months and hot water as well. One of the two houses has a lovely log fire. All windows have mesh screening in order to be left open. The pool can be viewed internally from the windows.

Further details outdoors:
This trulli villa has been made comfortable without losing its original structure. A wheelchair path has been created to help elderly/infirm to access the pool area. The setting is lovely and peaceful, you can hear the silence even being just a few min from the attractions of the nearest towns and cities. You can spend your sunny days swimming in the nice pool or just have a rest under the tree on the sunbeds or preparing at the barbecue delicious local food and eat near the pool and .... under the stars!

The Puglia/Molise region

The region of Puglia can boast a very long history, art, tradition, beautiful architecture - renowned for its fresh and varied local cuisine, warm climate and the exceptionally warm and friendly people. The weather is generally hot and sunny and the landscape consists of ancient olive groves, almond and cherry trees, so colourful during springtime and stretching as far as the eye can see.

Fifteen minutes by car you will find beautiful beaches to the south of Monopoli and fishing boats float in and out of the many ports and harbours. At easy reach you can visit the charming towns of Ostuni, Martina Franca, Locorotondo, Cisternino, and Conversano and of course the breathtaking caves of Castellana Grotte, with their surrealistic and magic landscape. A little bit further, you can visit the Salento marvellous beaches near Otranto, Gallipoli, Lecce (the city of baroque), or if you go northwards you can visit the Gargano area or the architectural masterpieces of Trani, Barletta, Bitonto.

The Alberobello area

Alberobello , recognized in the world as the capital city of the Trullis, is also a beautiful town in its own right, always spotlessly clean, quiet and welcoming like its inhabitants friendly and warm. You will never be short of things to do in the town and surrounding areas. It is a great starting point for cyclists and walkers, artists and nature lovers alike.Beaches are easily reachable in 15 minutes by car (also a coach service is available ) and you are also well placed to go and visit the most interesting cities of Puglia region, with its architecture and history that characterize this warm and charming part of Italy.

Spring and Summer are magic in Alberobello, with warm temperatures, entertainment, people, but you can also enjoy other periods during the year such as in September, with the traditional religious festival dedicated to “Santi Medici”, particularly spectacular and touching, or in December, when, in the streets and in the trulli themselves, it is organized a wonderful live representation of the Nativity of Christ with real people, offering food and telling tales to visitors.

Ryanair fly both Bari and Brindisi (www.ryanair.com) from Stansted and British Airways fly to Bari (www.britishairways.com) from Gatwick. Alitalia flies to both airports from Heathrow and Manchester (via Milan or Rome).
Bari and Brindisi are both no more than 45 minutes easy drive from Alberobello. You can hire a car through any of the main rental companies (e.g. Hertz, Europcar, etc.) One other option is to fly to Naples or Pescara, both within 3 hours drive.

“WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!” We have just come back from our holiday in this wonderful villa. We didn't want to leave the villa! We received an attentive assistance from the beginning to the end of our holiday, together with an accurate maitenance of the house (good taste and cleanliness)and the pool. They offered an excellent welcome, good services (they provided the taxi for us!), a good guide to restaurants and places to visit and many activities to choose. They have also proposed good discounts for our friends and for us, giving us another good reason for coming here very soon!!

"Our research found a little gem just on the outskirts of Alberobello. Peace and solitude abound in the Trulli with lots of character. The trulli is newly renovated and everything is fresh, clean and well maintained. It is a rustic home, with a modern bathroom and shower (powerful) and the kitchen is well appointed.
All around the property the views are wide open and beautiful especially at night when the distant lights sparkle. We dined outside at night, it was really quite magical.
