Home description

Stay at the Finca (country house) son Ribas and you can make your holiday whatever you want it to be. You will be ideally situated for trips out exploring the many attractions of Mallorca. Historic sights, beaches, mountains and much more.

If the quiet life is what you are looking for, relax by the pool or walk through the private orchard containing lemon, orange and fig trees to name but a few. Feel free to pick and enjoy the fruit.

It is only a ten minute walk to the town of Alaro which has a pretty square, quality restaurants and numerous bars within it's narrow streets.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

Mallorca has a typical mediterranean climate with hot dry summers and warm wet winters.

The fertile valley of Alaró lies on the south side of the Sierra de Tramontana range which runs from SW to NE along the entire length of Mallorca. The presence of the mountains means that Alaró is not sufforcatingly hot in July and August as is the central flat region of Mallorca.

There are many coves and beaches, mountain and rural villages to explore, while Palma is a modern city with beautiful gothic cathedral, palace and old town. Excellent shopping and restaurants.


Alaro area

Alaró is situated midway between the beaches of the Bay of Palma and the Bay of Alcudia, both quickly reached by motorway.

Alaró has a ruined castle on top of the mountain and there is an excellent typical restaurant "Es Verger" on the way up. Go there for local lamb, its mouthwatering! Other excellent restaurants in village.

The week ending 16th August is the week of the fiestas of Sant Roc, with many activities. Street painting for children, dancing giants, devils with fireworks, etc. The whole village takes part and the square is very lively.

A short 10 minute drive from the house is the new shopping and entertainment complex 'Festival Park'. Here there is a massive selection of retail outlets, restaurants and other attractions including cinema 's and ten pin bowling.

Fly by Easyjet or other budget airline to Palma Airport.

It is advisable to rent a car, although not esential if you just wish to relax. We always use www.drivespain.com for our rentals, the prices seem to be reasonable and they have a desk at the airport. It is only a 20 minute drive to Alaró, via the Inca the motorway.

3. Transfer the 20% deposit to our bank in Mallorca.
You will receive written confirmation when the funds arrive.

4. One month prior to your holiday transfer the balance plus a 100 Euro key deposit. We will send you the keys and all instructions relating to finding the property etc.

5. ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY!!

6. Return the keys by post and we will refund your key deposit.
