About the home
Can Montaner dates back to the 18th century retaining many of the original features and antiques of the period.
The apartment is spacious and self-contained and has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The apartment has it's own living room and kitchen. The gardens and entrance hall make a wonderful space for entertaining and on summer evenings, should you wish the owner will organise dinner for your friends and family.
Alarò is a typical Mallorcan village set in the foot hills of the Sierra Tramuntana mountains. With fantastic walks and scenery from the door. It is only 20 minutes away from the enchanting city of Palma and the beaches. In both winter and summer it makes a wonderful holiday location.

The three apartments inside Can Montaner are comfortable, furnished with antiques, with full air conditioning during the summer. Almudenia (4 people) has a great view of the mountains, Gran Montaner (4 people) is large and spacious, and La Villetta is a double apartment.

We are very close to the village plaza, where throughout the year there are traditional Mallorquin fiestas which are highly entertaining, involving dancing, fireworks and processions. For dates of the local fiestas contact the owner.
Every Saturday there is a traditional village market where you will find local produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, and artisan crafts.
The summer fiesta here in Alaró starts the 6th of August and lasts until the 16th of August. There are many activities throughout the ten days leading up to the last evening when at midnight there is a firework display that lasts for well over an hour. An event not to be missed!

The Mallorca/Majorca region
Majorca is one of the favourite destinations in the Balearic Islands. There are many beautiful beaches
the climate here is very agreeable all year round yes it it also seasonal.
the capital is Palma where you can find an abundance of history including the cathedral
of Palma. There are many exhibitions and street side cafes and excellent restaurants
where you can have tapas and locally caught fish.
There are plenty of activities sailing diving amusement parks etc.
The Alaro area
Alaro sits just below the impressive mountains of Castel de Alaro and Alcadena which are steeped in history.
The village is a traditional majorcan style and during the year the main square is forever busy with the next fiesta to amuse adults and children alike.
The village has all the necessary amenities nearby shops restaurants banks. On Saturdays there is the local market with fruit and flowers.
It is also a meeting point for a wonderful walk up the mountain where you will find the famous lamb restaurant of Es-Verger.
