About the home

Guvenir Apartment is situated in a prime location of Mahmutlar. Mahmutlar is a small town on the outskirts of Alanya in the south Mediterranean side of Turkey. The positioning of this resort means that merely a ten minute bus ride and the negligible fare of 2 lira is all that separates your perfect holiday retreat from the hustle and bustle of Alanya itself. The close proximity of this apartment means your holiday can be one of either complete relaxation in the peace and quiet of this tranquil environment, or as hectic and exciting as you like. Activities include: an Aqua park in the town centre and the usual attractions along the beach front such as trampolines, crazy golf, jeep safari, boat trips, cave and river trips, and of course massage and traditional turkish baths.
The resort is surrounded by small and friendly shops, catering to your every foreseeable need, with numerous retail establishments and restaurants in the neighbouring area of Mahmutlar. The apartment itself is clean, spacious and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. Should any problems or queries arise whilst staying in our apartment, there is a resident caretaker available on site, who would be only too happy to assist with any needs, and the local people are always ready to help.

Although on the description there are four single beds...it is very easy to push two together to make a double bed. Towels & Linen provided. There are some essential cleaning items etc.. provided, I ask that you simply replace anything that you use for the next guests. This is done to make your stay more relaxing and convenient. A telephone number will be provided if you need any questions answering.

SMOKING IS ONLY ALLOWED ON THE BALCONY, TERRACE OR OUTSIDE AROUND THE POOL AREA. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE APT. PLEASE.
A security deposit of £100 is required and is returned on your departure once the property has been inspected. This is held as a security to cover any damages/breakages (if they occur). Booking can be flexible, but the full payment must be received a week before you occupy the property.

Conditions

Full payment to be received seven days prior to occupancy of Apartment.

A damages deposit of £100 is required which will be REFUNDED to the customer on final inspection.

The Mediterranean Coast region

Alanya is a very lovely and friendly place. There are so many nice things to see that it is difficult to list all of them here.
Mountain ranges, beautiful sea's and beaches. My advice is to search around the internet for information as it is quite endless. You wont see it all in one holiday !!
The climate in Alanya / Antalya region in the Summer is 26 C – 38 C in the Winter 16 C – 24 C.
Usually humid and warm in the summer, warm and some rain in the winter; very comfortable for all, whether old or young,
Alanya is one of the warmest spots in Turkey.
Clear blue sea for miles.
East of alanya towards Anamure all the way to Mersin has some of turkeys most spectacular coast roads. Packed full of history all the way.
On your visit there are many sites that must be seen including the Great Waterfalls and Acient Roman Theatres.

The Alanya / Mahmutlar area

Mahmutlar is in southern Turkey, situated on the Mediterranean coastline approximately 140km from Antalya. The apartment is situated here in Mahmutlar, only 200 metres from the sandy beach and a 2 minute walk to the local market, where there is an abundance of local produce, clothes, toys and household goods to amuse all ages. A minute further on, you come to the town centre, which again has something for everyone. The restaurant owners are friendly and cheerful, always willing to recommend something different for you and taking the time to tell you about the ingredients and the way the meal is cooked. There are water parks for the children, tennis courts nearby and of course, the swimming pool in the complex is fun for everyone, with its own children's pool for added safety.

Catch one of the local buses into Alanya, which is only a 10 minute journey and very inexpensive. It boasts some of the best beaches on the coastline and is bordered by the breathtaking Taurus mountains. Alanya has a beautiful marina from where you can organise boat trips and is a port for Mediterranean cruises. You can ferry to Cyprus from here too. Alanya has a variety of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Above Alanya you will see Alanya castle. Take a trip up the winding roads and you will find some of the best restaurants you could hope for, looking down on the castle and marina. What more could you ask for?

There are discos, bars and restaurants - in fact all sorts of night-life are catered for, regardless of age.

Between Mahmutlar and Alanya you must not miss a unique dining experience on the river Caye.

Golf is only an hours drive away at Belek.

Recommended Sites to be seen: The Great Waterfalls, Ancient Roman Theatres. (There are many more!)

The nearest airport is Antalya (about 1.5 hours drive along the coast road from Mahmutlar). You can fly there from most UK and foreign airports.

Airport transfers I can be arranged at a cost of 60 euros or 125 YTL each way for up to four persons.
This service will pick you up from the airport, take you to your apartment and show you around.
This is paid locally to the driver on arrival at your destination.

Thank you Shirley for the loan of your apartment. Hasan was waiting at the airport as promised and we had a very pleasant and safe trip to Mahmutlar. On arrival our reaction was a great WOW. It is even nicer than photographs on your website. Eveything was bright and clean and included everything that was needed for our month long stay. The balcony was a really pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by and with a view over the nearby park and the beach a minutes walk. Also the seaview from the balcony and the fabulous sunsets made this a bonus that did not show in your advert. The two weekly markets are well worth a visit. The final bonus was the very friendly shopkeepers especially the bread kiosk just on the corner from which you can purchase fresh Turkish bread both morning and afternoon.A really lovely place to stay.
