About the home

This luxurious 2 floor penthouse is situated in the quiet suburb of Mahmutlar, just outside the main town of Alanya. It is located right beside the beach. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Bathrooms with toilets and showers are located on both floors with the main bathroom having a jacuzzi bath as well. Large entertaining balcony on the top floor complete with its own built in barbecue area and sunloungers.

All towels, linen, kitchen applicances are provided and a daily cleaning service is available at a nominal extra cost. The complex has parking facilities and gym, sauna & pool room. I also have a local English speaking caretaker to help you in the event you require any assistance with your holiday. Complimentary essentials provided for your arrival date.

Located centrally so there are numerous bars & restaurants around the apartment and many others within close walking distance.

Flights now available to Gazipaza airport ( 20-30 mins away ) or Antalya ( 90 mins away )

The Mediterranean Coast region

The key to Mahmutlar as a holiday destination is that even in July/August the temperature is not excessive due to the Tauras Mountains that provide a backdrop to the resort. This combined with its location on the Mediterranean Sea keeps a refreshing coolness to the resort even in the height of summer. Alanya has around 300 days of sunshine annually.

The Alanya / Mahmutlar area

Mahmutlar is 15 mins outside Analya and would be considered a quiet area with mainly shops & restaurants. There are many restaurants within 25-250 metres of the apartment and there are 2 main streets in either direction (500-750mtrs) that have many other bars and restaurants, both local and tourist.

The local market is held twice a week ( Tuesdays & Saturdays) and is great for haggling for gifts and presents. If you prefer to self cater it is ideal for doing your food shopping as the fridge can be stocked full with fresh food for less than €50. There are many local butchers and again I stocked my fridge for 4 people with steaks, chicken and lamb for the week for €70.

The beach runs alongside the whole resort and is great for water sports ( in Analya ) and snorkelling. The cost of the regular local buses into Analya is €1.25 Analya has 2 water parks for the kids, diving and boat trips.

Within 30mins to 2 hours there are many sites to visit to see the ancient Turkey and a trip to the Aspendos is recommended particularly if you can visit during the many theatre/dance/opera performances that are held there.

For those seeking lively night life, Analya is the place to go. The harbour and city has many bars and restaurants open into the night. Taxis available.

Gazipaza airport ( GZP )has now opened and this is only 20-30 mins away. From Antalya airport it is 90 mins drive to Mahmutlar

Car hire can be arranged in advance or in the resort. I have arranged a deal with car hire company across from the complex. If you hire a car for a week, they will meet you at the airport and drive you or accompany you to the apartment if you wish of course!

Bus transfers can be made at the same time as booking your flights with some airlines and travel companies for approximately €25 £16 (per person return).

I can also arrange private mini bus pickup to/from the airport approximate €10-15 per person each way depending upon total number in the party.

Taxis are available at the airport and are government regulated. Prices are displayed prominantly around the airport.

“Excellent apartment” From the 1st enquiry I had with Shane I know I would have no trouble with this apartment. All my emails were answered quickly and efficiently. The caretaker met us when we arrived and made sure we knew if we had ANY questions or needed anything we could just call on him. The children loved the pool area with slides while the older ones in the group found the pool great in the evening when the sun had dipped a little. The location of the apartment is ideal, direct access to the beach by underpass and lots of restaurants and bars with a 2minute stroll around, the best of which we found was Ally's Bar. The best thing about this apartment is the size, even though there was 8 of us it never felt like we were all on top of each other and the next best thing was we always had sun on at least 1 balcony all day. The only "problem" we had with this apartment was no table in the kitchen, the table on the balcony was only place to eat and with fair Irish skin wasn't always a good idea.

“Fantastic Apartment, lovely place.” Hi Shane, thanks for a lovely 2 week break in your apartment, the apartment was amazing, especially the balacony areas, we all had a great time, pool was lovely and clean, and Mehmet the caretake was a star, he helped us out whenever we asked. All in all, we have a lovely Holiday, and we are already booked to go back this year. Thanks from the Williams family.

“BREATH-TAKING! :)” EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! The apartment was even more beautiful than we expected and everything was working fine. We tryed several restaurants but it turned out that the best restaurants were just around the corner. We celebrated my fathers birthday in Buzz and mine in the Sunny. In the beginning of our holiday we went to Turkish bath. After that it was much easier to get suntan. ;) In one day we rented a minivan and went to see the Sapadere canyon in Taurus mountain. It was great. We also had a shopping day in Alanya bazaars and had dinner in the Garage restaurant. Food was excellent. My father and his workmate had already seen the Dim cavern and the waterfalls in Manavgat so they spend the day at the beach. The rest of us rented a BMW cabriolet and went to visit these sights. We had so much fun. :) In my birthday (16.9) we went to the beach. Me and my fiance and my brother with his friend were grazy enough to try parasailing. It was absolutely worth the money. :D The view was breath-taking. Then we had dinner in the Sunny and the night was awesome. We danced in the tables with the waiters and applauded to the show so much that everybodys hands were aching. ;) My fiance had a real tattoo and is very pleased. It is very good work! I don't know if there's ANY WAY that our holiday could had been more fun. We want to thank you for giving us a change to stay in your apartment. And if it's possible maybe we come again.
