This rental penthouse is perfect for your family holiday - not far to go before you stumble across something to entertain the kids, that is if you can get them away from the 1000m² landscaped swimming pool in the centre of the complex!
And of course, Akbuk is famous for its clean beaches and clean air, making this a truly healthy holiday!

The Aegean Coast region
WEATHER The Aegean Region is known for its balmy climate. Guaranteed sun and "beach weather" for at least 6 months of the year, temperatures climb from 25c in May up to 40c and sometimes more in July and August. The air is dry and clean, making the heat manageable and positively beneficial for many - especially people with breathing and joint disorders.
HISTORY Trying to summarise the history of the area is a difficult job - written records of civilisations, heroes, kings and saints go back thousands of years, testified to by the large numbers of ancient temples and towns that can be found all over the region.
SURROUNDINGS The landscape is also remarkable - the original meandering river, the River Meander, has slowly silted up over thousands of years, leaving the mountains to the north and west surrounded by huge flat plains that are home to many different types of wildlife and several national parks. The area is famous for its beaches and many have been awarded "Blue Flags" - the internationally recognised clean beaches award.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES The area is very well equipped for holidaymakers, with a wealth of activities and sights to see during your stay. Children will love the kilometres of sandy beach and clean, shallow turquoise sea, Didim Aqua Park and the hosts of family cafes with free computer games for kids and special children's menus. The young and young at heart will love the beach clubs - jetties with sunbeds, beanbags, table service and funky music - watersports, and all the bars and discos along the beachfront. Culture fans will love visiting the local villages and markets and seeing traditional foods and crafts being prepared and sold, and the astonishing selection of ancient monuments, temples and cities within a 2 hour radius (the nearest is actually inside the resort!).

How to get there
GENERAL LOCATION Located in Akbuk, a popular upmarket seaside resort on the Turkish Aegean Coast. Flights from the UK run throughout the year to Bodrum and Izmir Airports. Bodrum Airport is 1 hour away by road and Izmir Airport is 1 hour and 45 minutes. The nearest customs office is at Altinkum and as of July 2008 there is a ferry service running between Altinkum and Kos throughout the summer. Ferries also operate into Izmir port from Brindisi in Italy, which is a popular option for people travelling to Turkey through Europe by car. It is also possible to enter Turkey via the Greek and Bulgarian borders north of Istanbul, close to Edirne.
VISAS Tourists must obtain a visa on arrival in Turkey and there is a charge of £10 per UK passport for a 90-day multiple entry tourist visa, which will be issued to you before passport control at your point of entry. Other nationalities can check with their local consulate for prices and regulations.
CAR HIRE Car hire can be arranged on request or details provided - typical local rental from £20 per day.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS Airport transfers can be organised from £10 per person from Bodrum or £40 per party of 1-4 from Izmir. Private airport transfers are also available, price on request.

Further details indoors: Olivia Duplex has been furnished with care and is very well laid out. The accommodation is on the first and second storeys of the building so not too many stairs to climb with your beach bag on your arm! There is a full inventory which is available on request - everything you need for your holiday inside and onsite.
Inside the penthouse are a lounge and dining area, with a large balcony + barbeque overlooking the swimming pool, as well as two sofabeds, a coffee table, TV and satellite connection with English channels, and a dining table and chairs. Facing the back of the complex are the well-equipped kitchen and the master bedroom, which also has a large private balcony. The downstairs bathroom houses a bath, WC and washbasin, built-in cupboard space and the state-of-the-art washing machine.
Upstairs are two large twin bedrooms which both span the entire width of the property, plus another bathroom with WC, washbasin and shower cubicle.
Further details outdoors: The site is relaxed with a laid-back atmosphere, a bit like Akbuk itself. There is a wealth of facilities on the complex, which is specifically designed to be self-contained, although outside its walls are the resort of Akbuk itself with some fantastic restaurants and cafes, lush olive groves, spectacular mountain scenery and of course the sea and its blue-flag beach just 300m from the complex!
Perfect for a lazy family holiday and the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

* A returnable deposit of £150 is taken to book your stay, in addition to the cost of the rental. This will be returned within 1 week of the end of your stay once the property and its contents have been checked. A full inventory list is provided. * You should be ready to vacate the property no later than 12:00 midday on the date of your departure. We must be notified 24 hours in advance of a departure before the agreed date and no refund is given. * There is an additional surcharge for out-of-hours arrivals and departures. Checkin and checkout times are between 10am-6pm Monday-Saturday. * Minimum booking period 3 days.
