The Aegean Coast region
The Aegean coast of Turkey has been home to the Greeks, the Romans and the Ottomans, all of whom left their mark. You don’t however have to be interested in the Battle at Troy to have a wonderful time here. There are long stretches of lovely sandy beaches surrounded by pine and olive clad hills, great resort towns which offer extensive facilities but are not over developed and one of the best ancient sites anywhere; Ephesus.
Within the surrounding area there are places of interest and activities to cater for everyone. For the history lovers besides Ephesus there is also the Apollo Temple at Didim, Milet and Priene. For the sun worshippers besides watersports in nearby Altinkum, you can enjoy boat trips around nearby bays and coves or catch the ferry to Kos or Samos. Two waterparks in the area one at Altinkum and the other on the outskirts of Kusadasi will keep the children happy whilst for the shopaholics try visiting the Soke outlet shopping centre for designer labels or enjoy the experience of a local market.
Akbuk area
Akbuk is a small resort located in the centre of Turkeys favourite coastline, the south west Aegean. It is located at the foot of gently sloping mountains and extends around a beautiful turquoise blue bay where the air is fresh and clean. Akbuk is said to have the highest oxygen ratio and lowest humidity rate in Turkey.
Akbuk is an unspoilt resort with plenty of restaurants along the beachfront offering inexpensive turkish cusine.There is a small marina where you can purchase fresh fish caught earlier that day, and also enjoy boat trips around nearby coves, whilst at the weekly Friday market you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables for a fraction of the price in the UK.
Nearby Altinkum, approx 15minutes by car or local dolmus, is a livelier resort with 3 main beaches, a small funfair and numerous cafes and restaurants. Here you can enjoy a variety of watersports,tours and boat trips, or why not relax and treat yourself to the experience of a Turkish Bath.
All of this provides the perfect location set in a beautifiul natural environment for a tranquil, relaxing holiday.
How to get there
Akbuk is located between Izmir airport to the north and Bodrum airport to the south.
Bodrum (milas) airport is the nearest to Akbuk with a transfer time of just over an hour whilst the transfer time from Izmir Adnan Menderes airport is 1hour 45mins.
We can arrange airport transfers on your behalf, details are available on request. For car hire from either airport we have found www.cartrawler.com to be competetive and reliable.

Further details indoors: Both master bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers, there is also a large bathroom with corner bath/shower whilst on the ground floor there is a fourth shower room.
The villa is equipped with numerous extras to make your stay relaxing and keep the children occupied , from books and DVD's to a Playstation 2 with various games.
Air conditioning in all of the bedrooms is fully inclusive in the weekly rental price.
The villa is fitted with mosquito nets at all doors and windows.
Constructed and furnished to a very high standard with granite worktops, marble staircase and high quality floor and wall tiles.
Further details outdoors: The private pool includes a separate children's section only 45cm deep, ideal for toddlers to splash around in and have fun.
The swimming pool is also equipped with underwater lighting for those nightime swims.
Each room has an outside balcony. The large balconies are all equipped with tables and chairs for outside dining, whilst the roof terrace commands stunning panoramic views and is ideal for evening relaxation, watching the sunset with a glass of wine. Guests may wish to make use of the brick built BBQ by the pool.
A car is recommended for exploring outside of Akbuk, the villa offers secure gated private parking for two cars.

The swimming pool (unheated) is available 1st May until 31st October, when it is cleaned and maintained on a daily basis.
Towels and linen are changed weekly.
Conditions
Please note that we ask all of our guests to respect our no smoking policy inside the villa.
The villa requires a deposit of £150.00 per week or part week booked. There is also payable (at final invoice) a damages/breakages deposit of £150.00 which is refundable provided no damages/breakages are reported. Alternatively items can be replaced by clients on a like for like basis.
Final payment is due 8 weeks prior to start of rental.
