Two large main pools and two separate childrens pools are the apartment's main attraction and perfect for lazy days in the water.

The apartment is ideal for couples or families who want a spacious place to spend their holidays, without the hustle and bustle of a busy hotel. Even if all the apartments are occupied at the same time (which they rarely are) the pool grounds are so spacious you will never feel crowded.

The Aegean Coast region

Akbuk is a small fishing village near Altinkum in the Aegean coast region of South West Turkey. Although this was, and out of season, still is, a quiet, sleepy village, its beauty has been recognised by both English and Turkish holidaymakers who spend some of their main summer holidays here, meaning that the resort is busier in August. However, the several bars and restaurants are never too busy to have to queue for a table outside to see the spectacular sunsets.

The apartment is in a complex of 40, built in a straight line facing the sea, in 7 low-rise blocks. As the blocks are in a straight line, they are not overlooked at all and both balconies are very private. They are situated up a slight hill, 25 minutes walk, or 5 minutes by car or taxi to the seafront. Taxis are readily available in the village if you do not fancy the walk back! There is now an hourly dolmus service to the village, where there are numerous shops, supermarkets, and a very noisy but fascinated weekly market on Fridays, selling fruit, vegetables, clothes, shoes, jewellery, handbags, spices, herbs and just about everything else. Haggling is only really necessary at the clothes stalls, and most of them now mark up their prices.

There are about a dozen or so bar/restaurants in the village and all have English speaking staff. Try the locally caught sea bass, or the lamb shish or kofte! There are children's playgrounds and in July, August and early September there is a small fairground on the seafront promenade. The area is still very Turkish and uses the lira, although GB pounds may be accepted as long as you ask first! Car hire is available from Bodrum airport, or in the village. Regular buses to Didim or Altinkum (20 minutes away) run from the village and cost about 5 lira per journey.

"Quiet apartments with beautiful pools"

We spent two weeks in August here and really enjoyed the peaceful setting. There was plenty of space for the children to play and the pools really are the highlight of the apartments. Although the poo… More
