'Villa Rourke' is a private, new detached villa. This villa was completed in September 2007 & is located in the beautiful, peaceful resort of Akbuk. The villa is ideal for those seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday & it provides breathtaking views of Akbuk bay & surrounding mountains. The villa has a private swimming pool to cool down in during the long, hot, sun filled days & also a large veranda, balcony and roof terrace. Although a car is not necessary, the villa also offers secure private parking for those who wish to hire a car. The villa is situated approximately 50 metres from the sea front and a 10 minute walk along the promenade will have you at the many excellent sea front restaurants in the resort centre. All amenities are also within easy walking distance.

The Aegean Coast region

Akbuk area
Akbuk is a resort for holidaymakers who want a relaxing, laid back holiday. This beautiful fishing village has shops, supermarkets, a bank, petrol station, hospital/doctor, hairdressers etc & many excellent restaurants (much less expensive than the bigger resort of Altinkum a few miles away). The promenade along the seafront is lined with trees and dotted with restaurants which offer traditional Turkish & European food. From the small harbour you can purchase fresh fish daily or you can take boat trips around the islands and enjoy lunch or dinner onboard! Akbuk also has a great market once a week which is well worth a visit. There are local horse riding stables a few miles outside the resort.
For an increase to your holiday tempo, the much livelier resort of Altinkum is only 20 minutes away by car/taxi or the local Dolmus bus service. Here you will find lively bars/clubs, a fairground, a water park & a large variety of restaurants. There are also several tours on offer (water park, Ephesus, boat trips etc) daily. How to get there
The closest airport is Bodrum (Milas) Airport approximately 40/45 mins transfer away. Izmir Airport is approximately 1hr 30mins away.
Return airport transfers to the villa : From Bodrum - £70.00 Total return price for 2 people in private car or £40.00 in shuttle bus. Further details indoors: The villa has been completed to the highest standard & comprises a large living room, separate kitchen/dining area, downstairs toilet, 3 bedrooms (1 double bed with en suite, 2 single beds (which can be converted to a double bed) & 1 set of bunk beds). There is also a double sofa bed in the living room. All the bedrooms & the living room are fully air conditioned and all windows have mosquito nets. The bathroom has both a shower & a jacuzzi bath to relax in. The massive roof terrace offers breath taking, uninterrupted, 360 degree views of Akbuk bay & the surrounding mountains which cradle this beautiful resort. Patio doors lead from the living room to a large veranda which is perfect for al fresco dining.
Further details outdoors: Outside, the veranda overlooks the villas private swimming pool (with underwater lighting) & sun terrace area complete with sun loungers. There is also an outside shower beside the pool. The villa has secure private parking & a separate entrance gate.

A £200.00 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm booking. Longer term rentals (over two weeks) will require a larger deposit. These will be refunded after a full inspection for damages upon departure. Deposits will be refunded within 14 days.
Full rental payment is required 10 weeks prior to departure.

June 2008 - Absolutely stunning villa and perfectly situated. Akbuk is a beautiful resort and definitely not for party animals ! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa Rourke and our only dissapointment was the week passed so quickly. Kevin & Gwyn, Manchester, England.
July 2008 - The villa was fantastic and close to all amenities not to mention the abundance of lovely restaurants. Akbuk has plenty to offer also, with boat trips, markets etc and the Turkish people are extremely friendly and warm. Would gladly recommend your villa.
