Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 8
A Touch of Paradise Country Club is an exclusive complex of 60 apartments and villas just outside the small town of Akbuk. The complex is set in the Akbuk hills which provides fantastic views across Akbuk bay and beautiful sunsets. The complex is very peaceful, ideal for a relaxing getaway.
This spacious, 2 bed, 2 bathroom apartment is set over the top two floors of a 3 floor villa and is well equipped with airconditioning, a balcony and rooftop sun terrace giving plenty of space for outdoor living.
PLEASE NOTE: Although the theoretical maximum number of guests is 8, this would involve the two sofas in the lounge being used as double beds. Normally, this property would sleep 4 adults with two in each of the bedrooms and possibly some kids on the sofas. Of course, if you do wish to book for 8 people on this understanding, that's fine.
The complex has two pools - one very large pool and a smaller children's pool with a large terrace overlooking Akbuk Bay with plenty of sunloungers to relax on.
Akbuk is a small town, unspoilt by mass tourism, but still very well served by lots of great restaurants serving anything from the best Turkish pizza to authentic mezze and kebabs. The town has fantastic transport links with regular Dolmus services to nearby towns such as Altinkum (20 minutes away) and also further afield. The world heritage site, Ephesus, is only 75 minutes by car and well worth a visit. There is also an aquapark and more than enough places to visit to keep you entertained for weeks. A package of details of local days out is kept in the apartment with a visitor book for you to pass on tips to future holidaymakers.
Meet and greet service
We work with a friendly, english speaking property management company (Bill and Jackie) who will look after you during your stay, providing you with keys, a welcome pack if requested, arranging transfers and showing you round the apartment and the appliances when you arrive.

There are boat trips from the bays and beaches of Akbuk bay and over to Altinkum, where guests can jump off and enjoy the excellent snorkelling in the crystal clear water. Jeep safaris are also very popular allowing everyone to get off the beaten track and go through the forests and mountains to see landscapes not normally seen.

The local village of Akbuk is a short stroll from the apartment. Akbuk has a beautiful harbour, sandy beach, excellent restaurants and boat trips. There is an excellent local market there every Friday where you can buy freshly caught fish, vegetables, spices and clothing.
Altinkum and its attached sister Didim is a large resort with excellent beaches plus a wide range of shops, hotels, clubs and restaurants. All can be reached via local Dolmus (bus) or by water taxi from the Akbuk.
The Aegean coast is famous for the tremendous weather where the sun shines for no less than 300 days of the year. Some of the famous landmarks include The Apollo Temple, Pamukkale, Ephesus, and The Virgin Mary House are all located along this coast.
Surrounding Akbuk's U shape bay are forests and olive trees giving it cooling levels of oxygen and very low humidity. Akbuk is a quiet relaxed place to stay, popular among holiday-makers who are looking to totally chill out.

"the apartment was more than i expected and the resort was peaceful and in a really good location"
Upon arrival at the resort we were greeted by the owners and were given the keys to the apartment. The couple who at the time owned the resort were very friendly and welcoming and offered us drinks and sat with us even though it was early hours of the morning, I went back in 2010 therefore the area was not very built up at the time and I'm sure it has changed a lot since then. It was quite quiet and there were not any families occupying the apartments only couples which was nice for me and my partner. The town itself was quiet however there was still a fair amount of English, not what i was expecting. The restaurants were all of decent quality and of good price. We ate out every night and we stayed for two weeks. I understand that prices may have gone up since then. The distance from the town to the apartment was not that far although was quite hilly so in the evening we would take a taxi back up the hill. The resort had a swimming pool and a pool bar. The beach was quiet however it was suitable for us. We went on a boat trip that took us to different beaches and we were able to jump off into the sea. We were told to take the bus to the Amphitheater ruins which were fascinating and well worth the money and trip. We also managed to take a bus into the main beach at Altinkum which was not far. This beach had numerous watersports although was much more English which wasn't really our scene.
Overall we were very pleased with the resort and apartment and would recommend a two week holiday there for anyone.

"This place is more beautiful then heaven, it has the cosiest apartments and best swimming pool I saw in akbuk"
The apartment was great!
It had everything to make us feel at home and the touch of paradise was absolutely beautiful, to be honest this place is really heaven you have to see it for yourself.
The swimming pool is really clean and safe our children preferred to stay in the pool all day then go to the beach!
They also have a table tennis, basketball and snooker area with FREE WIFI too!!
IT IS JUST AMAZING!
The people who work there (Jackie and Bill) were really nice and friendly to us and they didn't just give us the apartment and go they showed us everything and everywhere, they actually cared about everyone.
Thank you all so much, mainly the lovely Chris Gregg who was kind enough to rent us his beautiful apartment.
we had a wonderful time
