|Further details indoors|
We have equipped the property with quality modern furnishings with the emphasis on comfort. The spacious living area has a large L-shaped couch (converts to double sofa bed), arm chair, television, DVD player and CD player. There is a ceiling fan and remote controlled air conditioning unit to keep you cool on those hot days and evenings. The dining table seats six people and is great for enjoying a meal made with fresh ingredients from the local market!
Located off the living area is the fully fitted modern kitchen which has granite worktops and everything you'll need for a fanatstic self catering experience. Appliances include cooker hob, extractor, microwave oven, washing machine and fridge-freezer. You'll also find a comprehensive array of pots, pans and utensils.
From the kitchen you can move out on to the large balcony which overlooks the landscaped gardens and pools, the balcony has an outdoor table and chairs for alfresco dining. We tend to dine on the balcony far more than sitting indoors, even at breakfast time. It's great to enjoy a meal whilst taking in the stunning views of the sea and mountain forests.
We have recently had a gate installed on the balcony, providing excellent access to the pools and terrace / garden areas, ideal for parents who want to relax on the balcony whilst keeping an eye on their children in the pool.
The spacious master bedroom has a comfortable double bed, bedside units with lamps. In the summer months the nights can be very humid and air conditioning is essential, both bedrooms benefit from remote controlled air conditioning units. The large wardrobe provides plenty of storage space.
The twin room has two comfortable single beds which share a bedside unit. Like the master room, the twin rooms benefits from large wardrobe and remote controlled air conditioning unit.
The modern fitted bathroom includes bath and power shower.
If you're arriving late at night or in the early hours we appreciate that you will be unable to buy groceries. A basic welcome pack will be provided to see you through until you can go shopping.
The apartment key can be picked up from reception which is located at the entrance of the complex. Reception is staffed throughout the night.
If we have no other party checking in on the day of your departure we can offer extended use of the apartment for free - no need to drag your luggage around with you on your last day! Please confirm this with us before booking.
Large sunbathing areas, sun loungers provided free of charge.
Money exchange service, car hire and excursions to local attractions available at the reception.
Secure parking at the entrance of complex. Vehicles are not permitted in the communal areas to ensure child safety.
Safety deposit box in apartment.
The Turkish Aegean Coast region
The Aegean coast is home to many sites of archaeological interest including Ephesus, The Apollo Temple, Pamukkale and The Virgin Mary House.
The extensive archaeological remains of Ephesus are among the best-preserved and largest ancient sites in the Mediterranean making it a favorite international and local tourist attraction. The site includes The Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the world. The Theater - At an estimated 44,000 seating capacity, it is believed to be the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world.
Pamukkale, meaning 'Cotton Castle' in Turkish is the modern name of the ancient Greek city of Hierapolisis located in the River Menderes valley. Together with Hierapolis, Pamukkale is recognized as a World Heritage site and regarded as the 8th World Wonder by locals.
A five minute walk will bring you to the waterfront, Ulas restaurant and small sandy beach. A further five to ten minute walk will bring you to a larger sandy beach, we like this beach as it has always been very quiet even in the summer months.
A dolmus (local minibus) service runs regularly throughout the day. A dolmus stops at the complex approximately every 15 minutes, these are very cheap and reliable. Akbuk town center, harbour and main beach with its wide choice of restaurants is only 5 minutes on dolmus.
In the summer months there are a number of pleasure boat trips that leave Akbuk's picturesque harbour each morning. Discover lovely beaches and coves along the stunning coastline and enjoy a delicious barbeque lunch, all for just £10. Some trips will stop and let you snorkel in the inviting waters.
Akbuk sits between the crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea and spectacular protected mountain forests and olive groves. The idyllic scenery, breathtaking sunsets and quiet beaches make Akbuk the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Historically a small fishing village supplying delicious Aegean Sea Bass, Akbuk has now been discovered by tourists attracted by it's unique blend of nature and history. Increasing numbers are moving into the area to share in the laid back lifestyle and health benefits - Akbuk is purported to have the lowest humidity and highest oxygen ratio in the whole of Turkey.
Akbuk's idyllic natural beauty is subject to strict preservation orders, a protection not afforded to other bigger, less exclusive resorts. The harbour is peaceful, even in summer, and has been awarded the internationally-recognised Blue Flag award for cleanliness.
If you want to visit Altinkum this is about 20 minutes drive (or hop on a dolmus!), it has a large white sandy beach which can get busy in peak months as you would expect of a larger resort. Altinkum also offers a selection of boat trips, trips, tours and shopping. We highly recommend going for a Turkish bath!

Apartment offered everything we were looking for, situated in a lovely well kept development in the quiet town of Akbuk. Three swimming pools and low key pool bar which kindly provided us with food and drinks when we arrived late on our first night at 11.30pm! Absolutely no complaints and we have already enquired about staying next year.....no point looking elsewhere when this apartment has it all sorted :)
