This is a modern yet traditionally styled, bright villa on the exclusive gated community of Marina del Sol. Marina del Sol is the prettiest of the marinas. The property includes secure car parking, private mooring at the end of the garden/patio area with direct access to the canals and Med. This 2 double bedroom with 2 single bunk bed home sleeps 6 and is over 2 floors with all the luxuries you would expect from more expensive holiday homes. Designer beds, crystal chandeliers, duresta sofa's and surround sound UK & French sat.tv.
The villa has ample al fresco dining/sunbathing areas to make the most of the 300days of sunshine per year- all with direct access to the waterfront marina and boats. The patio and garden has a large designer dining table and chairs, rattan sofa and chair, sunloungers, side tables, candle lamps and mood lighting.
There is a balcony off the main bedroom with french doors leading out to views of the marina - a perfect place for morning breakfast or evening drinks and admire the beautiful sunsets.
Three bicycles (ladies and gents) are provided for your use to cycle to the nearby perfectly preserved walled town of Aigues Mortes or the numerous seaside resorts and canals. A canoe is also provided for you pleasure.
Fishing, horse riding, jet skiing, water skiing, windsurfing, wakeboarding and more are all available in the area.
Some of the best beaches on the Mediterranean can be found close by. The Camargue Regional Park (UNESCO world heritage site) famed for its pink flamingoes, black bulls and white horses - is on your doorstep.

All windows throughout the property have : Mosquito netting, curtains and closing shutters to the windows and French doors (except no shutters to kitchen window - as not needed).

quality memory foam mattress on a designer french white bed frame with matching bedside tables and table lighting. Antique Bedding Chest. 6 drawer tall-boy storage unit and dressing table with mirror & chair.
QUALITY BEDDING AND DUVETS AND BED LINEN IS PROVIDED FOR BOTH BEDROOMS.

CAR PARKING: A Secure car parking space is provided next to the villa. Access gained to car space and development via a remote control to open vehicle access gate or a 4digit access code for pedestrian access.
3no. bicycles (Ladies and Gents) are provided with a removable child seat (front of rider style), if required and can be stored and secured to exterior of house.
PATIO and GARDEN: On the Marina side:The villa has a private garden and patio leading directly from the 2no. double French doors off the Lounge. Designer dining table and chairs for 6 people, quality rattan sofa and chair with full cushions, sunloungers and side tables and other chairs are provided. A 'hose' type shower can be attached to the external water supply for a refreshing cool shower. Mood lighting and candle type oil lamps provide an atmospheric evening.
Direct access to the marina from the garden provides a pleasant outlook and access to the boats. You can walk around the marina development in both directions from here. A private 14m mooring is provided for your use.
The garden has no fence between the marina & garden areas. CARE MUST BEEN TAKEN AT ALL TIMES & USE OF THESE FACILITIES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
A canoe is provided for you pleasure.
BALCONY: The marina bedroom has double french doors leading to an external balcony that overlooks the marina and garden below.
BEYOND THE MARINA : 8mins walk to the Medieval walled town of Aigues Mortes - with its many restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars. Provencal markets are held every Wednesday and Sunday in the local town square.
BOAT CANAL TRIPS: From the village are numerous throughout the day.
HORSE RIDING: Many stables are located within the area providing beach and trail rides through the Camargue on the local white horses.
TRAINS: 5minute walk to Aigues Mortes train station with regular service to the seaside resort/town of Grau du Roi (5mins. journey time) and to the ancient Roman city of Nimes (30mins. journey time).

Family groups are preferred as the house is part of a residential community.
There is strictly no smoking inside the property which is fitted with smoke alarms. Smoking is permitted outside in the garden and patio areas.
We ask that all guests will replace like for like within reason any small breakages and to replace things used that are not included in the rental price, i.e. cleaning, washing products, basic long life food produces and all toilet rolls and kitchen towels.
All outside tables, chairs and sunloungers can be left outside during your stay.
The bicycles can be chained securely outside the front to the kitchen window rails using the chain and padlock provided.
Linen/towels are provided. Please use the laundry facilities in the property for your own daily/weekly requirements.
Please ensure all lights and appliances are switched off on leaving the property and at final departure day.
Conditions
Deposit with initial booking is 30% of the total cost.
The remaining total cost balance 70% final payment is to be made no less than 8 weeks before arrival.
Refundable security deposit of £250.00 required with final payment 8 weeks prior to date of arrival.
Cancellations are subject to a 30% handling charge if a booking is cancelled 1 month (more than 4weeks) or more from arrival date.
Later cancellations (less than 4weeks) are subject to 50% handling charge.
LATE BOOKINGS: PAYMENT IN FULL AT TIME OF BOOKING.
Please ensure that you have your travel insurance documents to hand when the keys are handed over.
Booking dates: Arrival days are 4.00pm on Saturdays only.
Departure days are 10.00am on Saturdays only.
We use a professional local (English & French speaking) agent who will meet and greet you to arrange key exchange. They will also arrange the laundry of bed linen.

One of the most beautiful unspoilt spots in the South of France bordering Provence and the Camargue. This historical location is close to stunning Mediterranean Sea. It benefits from an exceptional climate with 280-300 sunny days per year. The Camargue Regional Park - A unique UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE site, is a huge area (approx. 350,000 acres) of wetlands, pastures and salt flats formed by the delta of the Rhone river. The region has a unique ecological balance and is home to many pink flamingos. In the grassy pastures you will find small white horses grazing. These are ridden in the area by 'gardians' - a traditional part of the local community. The whole area is steeped in history with Roman amphitheatres at Nimes and Arles and Pont Du Gard aquaduct - All are well worth a vist. Further still are the Ardeche Gorges. Most towns have bullrings famous for bull festivals. Boat hire or Sight-seeing Boats are plentiful up and down the canal to see the local wildlife or just to enjoy a chilling day out. Many sea-side towns including: Grau du Roi (4km) offer pleasant days out with quality sand and safe clean bathing beaches with Lifeguards in attendance. Fishing, Golf (Robert Trent designed course), fun fairs, Seaquarium, swim park are all nearby. Another town nearby: Grande Motte is awarded a 'European Blue Flag' every year for the quality of it's water on swimming beaches and in the marina and has the finest beaches in the Languedoc. Gently-sloping for comfort and safety for parents and children.
The Aigues Mortes / Port Du Roy area
In 1240 St Louis decided to build the walled city of Aigues Mortes - close to his kingdom in order to have direct access to the Mediterranean Sea. Seven centuries on and the fortification still dominates the Camargue as one of the most well preserved medieval walled towns. Today, the newly built marina of Port du Roy ( The Royal Port ) is home for an exclusive gated community modeled on traditional style fisherman's houses. The villa is situated within the 'Marina del Sol' community and is closest to town and the prettiest of the marinas. The local area can be explored on-foot, by bike, boat, car, train, horse or even by 4x4 Safari expeditions. The various waterways and canals offer flat dedicated cycle and paths routes that make the outdoors a pleasure for the seasoned or novice alike. Boat hire: small or large craft can be hired locally at hourly/daily rates. Restaurants and Bars: Aigue Mortes and nearby seaside town of Grau du Roi have a wide selection of al fresco dining, bars and entertainment freely available in town square. Night Life: Montpellier and Grande Motte offer an extensive and varied choice of nightlife.

We were met on arrival and shown the property. The house was extremely well furnished and equipped. The outside area was delightful, on the water front and with comfortable dining and seating areas. We used the bicycles that were provided to explore the local beaches and to go to town. The property was wired for internet and cable tv but was not enabled, this would have been an added bonus. There was a high quality sound and vision tv system with dvd player and French network tv channels were available. |

A very well equipped and located home in the marina. The house is spacious and the garden area is right on the marina where you can watch the comings and goings. We enjoyed many evening meals outside on the patio. All the furnishings were of high quality. We would definitely stay again. |
