Home description

This is a lovely unspoilt part of Spain, bathed by the mediterranian sea. Aguilas is a truly Spanish town with its harbour and marina, shops and restaurants.There are many sandy beaches and unspoilt calm sandy bays following the coastal road. The apartment is on a hillside location boasting fantastic views of the coastline, Calabardina,Agulas and its Castle. There are new golf courses in San Juan de los Terreros 10 mins away and Mojacar 25 mins away both by car a golf course is planned for the resort in the near future. There is also a fantastic water-park at Vera 15 mins away by car. With 28 km's of coastline and its Nature reserves, this is one of Spains best kept secrets.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The costa callida translated as the warm coast. It seems to have it's own microclimate and has the most sunshine days in a year. This is beautiful unspoilt part of Spain and typically Spanish. It has a beautiful terrain of hills an mountains ideal for cyclists and walkers. Aguilas and calabardina both have diving schools as this is a very popular area for scuba diving. If you like something a little more relaxing there are plenty of golf courses in the area and many more planned for the future. Aguilas is in Murcia but is on the border with Almeria. Lorca is a beautiful historic city 15 mins away, well worth a visit if not only for the beautiful scenery on the drive over to it.Ther eis also the naval town of caragena a few km's north. Just outside Callabardina is the beautiful protected nature reserve cabo de cope.

Aguilas / Calabardinda area

Situated between Cartagena and Almeria-on one of the most beautiful coastlines on the Spanish peninsula, called " la Costa Callida" ( the warm coast, ) lies the lesser known town of Aguilas. It is reminiscent of a small fishing town, but is large enough to have it's own infrastructure yet small enough to be overlooked. Aguilas is a town on the shores of the Mediterranean, sheltered by the headland on which stands the Castle of San Juan de Aguilas,and is sheltered inland by high mountain ranges. It has a working port which means plenty of lovely seafood, although there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. It has a main square which comes alive on an evening. A new marina has been built and a lovely walkway along the front will take you around this There are also golf courses in San Juan De Los Terreros, 10 mins by car, Vera 20 Mins by car and Mojacar 35 mins.Scuba diving is a popular sport here and there are diving schools in Aguilas and Callabardina. For the kids there is a great water park in Vera 15 mins away. The sea has shaped the coastline into a series of beautiful sandy bays and coves. There are 28 km's of surrounding beaches some of which run down bumpy tracks off the coastal road to Vera. These are beautiful sandy beaches, with clear waters. Just park up take your cool box and spend the day there. Cycling in the hills and mountains, and walking in the nearby nature reserves are also verypopular. No wonder this is one of Spains best kept secrets.

How to get there

There are three main airports in the area. Flights into Murcia San Havier Airport, 40 mins away or Almeria Airport 40 mins away or Alicante Airport aprox 90 mins away using the new moterway/ toll road.
Jet 2 fly from most airports in uk as do Ryan air to all these airports on a regular basis.
Car hire available at all airports usually we use goldcar.

A lovely new apartment on a friendly and peacefull complex. There are a number of facilities on the complex, but there is also a fantastic new shopping complex in Aguilas 5 mins away by car. There is plenty of outside space with a large front terrace and a huge rooftop solarium. The front terrace is very private and not overlooked by any other apartment.

Lovely large front terrace and roof terrace. There are tennis courts on the resort and also a pitch and put course. An 18 hole golf course is planned nearby.A shopping complex and spa are planned for 2010

Fantastic place beautiful beaches really relaxing Great apartment Peacefull with fantastic views.

Our girls weekend away in June was bathed in constant sunshine, with lovely beaches, bars and restaurants how could it get any better.

Lovely place, traditional Spain lovely restaurants with great food and wine, and not over priced

Our week at Easter was great sunny and warm here and snow at home!!

A lovely clean apartment in an excellent location with great views, beaches and weather what more could you want
