This ground floor property is set on a hill in rolling countryside near(2.5kms) the Medaeval town of Torchiara and 5kms from the large town of Agropoli and can sleep up to 7 plus a cot. The property consists of 3 double bedrooms,2 bathrooms and a large lounge/dining/kitchen with patio doors to the covered terrace and private garden which is planted with jasmine,roses,lemon and vines. There are distant views of the Amalfi coast and Agropoli old town.
The apartment is furnished to a high standard with modern fittings and appliances.

Beautiful beaches can be found at Paestum and Santa Maria di Castellabate (blue flag) about 12kms away and at Agropoli 5 kms from the apartment.

The Campania region

The apartment is situated just over 1 hour ( by train or car) south of Naples. Excursions are available by boat , coach ,car and train to Capri, Vesuvius,Herculaneum and Pompeii . The Property is situated on the edge of the Cilento National Park with a Blue Flag beach within 12kms and Amalfi coast 45 mins approx by car. Ideally situated for visiting Santa Maria di Castellabate ,Polinuro,Paestum,Salerno and Southern Italy ( Basilicata and Calabria) yet only just over an hour from Naples airport. The region is well known for its local cuisine and wine.

Agropoli area

Torchiara is a medaeval village with a bank and local market and is set high above the coastal plain. The views are breathtaking and the village has an Alpine feel about it. Agropoli which is 5 kms away has beaches, a marina, modern shops,restaurants and banks. The old town of Agropoli dates back to the Greeks and Saracens.

Paestum is 12kms away with its magnificent doric temples and unspoilt beach. Capaccio near Paestum is famous for the best Buffalo Mozarella cheese and you can visit the farm and buy cheese direct from the farm shop. 12kms in the other direction is the upmarket town of Santa Maria di Castellabate with its many little streets,shops,restaurants and cafes and it also boasts a blue flag beach.

Further south is Polinuro with its lovely clear waters and famous grottos.

Boats from Agropoli (summer months) will take you to Capri and the Amalfi coast. This area is 45 mins by car or you can take an inexpensive train journey from Agropoli railway station.

How to get there

Fly to Naples:
BMI from Heathrow, BA from Gatwick, Easyjet from Stanstead .Flying time 2.5 hours.

Train to Agropoli from Naples Central station journey time approx 1 hour.Hire car in Agropoli or Paestum.

Drive from Naples by picking up A3 motorway journey time 1 hour 20 mins - Car hire at Naples airport.

All Furnishings are modern and of a high standard.
At present there is a double bed in Bed 1, a double and single in Bed2 and two singles in bed 3. We can accommodate different configurations on request.

There is a small private garden with lemon trees and vines. Garden furniture including large table and chairs for al fresco dining on the large covered terrace as well as sun loungers and a BBQ. Awnings to the large terrace can be rolled down to give further shade.

A Damages deposit of £25 per guest is taken on booking which is refundable.
Full cost required on booking
Property can be held for 48 hours free of charge pending confirmation in order to arrange flights etc.

No pets please and smoking only permitted on terrace and in garden. Full cost and damages deposit is payable on confirming booking.
