The villa is a perfect choice for families with children or small groups of friends that want to spend a relaxing and quite cheap holiday in Sicily, between nature, culture and sea. The main door brings you in a comfortable living room with log fire, two couches and an armchair, and a big wood table with six chairs. The separated and functional kitchen is provided with burner, fridge, freezer, dishes and a little oven. You can find also a characteristic wood oven and a washing machine in a room close to the kitchen, from where you can access a little basement. The two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds, have both a big wardrobe, night tables and abat-jour. The house is surrounded by two big terraces, that you can access from all the rooms, where you can do outdoor dinner or relax in the outdoor living room.
The house is 2 km far from to the small city of Sant'Angelo Muxaro that, according to an old legend, was once Kamikos, the kingdom of the Sican King Kokalos, who gave hospitality to Daedalus, who had fled from Crete. Today is a characteristic town with small workshops of artisans and farms where you can see people at work as in the past. You can also do archaeological and caving tours and horse driving trips.
I recommend you to rent a car, so you can easily reach Agrigento and visit its wonderful Valley of the Temples, the Kolymbetra's Garden, the medieval San Nicolas' Church, the Archaeological Museum, the Lucchesiana Library and much more.
Wonderful beaches, far 20-40 min. by car, are those of Siculiana, Scala dei Turchi, Punta Bianca, Giallonardo, Eraclea Minoa.
