About the home

We have done our very best to make this lovely Cretan house your home for the holidays. Villa Hellios, is a brand new luxury villa, built to fit perfectly between the gorgeous countryside and the breathtaking views over Elounda bay. Set in Mavrikiano, a typical village, 2mn from Elounda and its blue flag beaches, you will definitely enjoy the low key, cool pace of life there.

Arrive safely and forget the stress of finding your holiday home! Our staff will welcome you any time of day and night, will be, available on call for any emergency, and will provide a welcome "pack" in the fridge for your first day in the villa, mid-week clean: NO CHARGE ADDED FOR THESE SERVICES. That's our way to say "welcome in crete"!

Everything has been done to make our guests happy and to offer them 'hassle free ' holidays. Flat screen TV and DVD players in every rooms,internet access, storage space, leather sofas sitting 5 ,fully equipped kitchen ,sunbeds, garden set with barbecue-grill...

You will love swimming at all time in your own private pool( 21m2) enjoy lazy afternoons on the sunny terrace, have breakfast in bed watching sunrise from your bay-window,nap as long as you want in the garden, on the comfy swing, have a romantic dinner 'al fresco' watching the shimmering lights of Elounda at night. welcome in 'hellios villa'!

Each bedrooms has its own private balcony, where you can enjoy the view (superb in the morning, even more breathtaking at sunset), flat screen TV, DVD player, and radio-alarm. Closets are spacious for your entire summer wardrobe. The 'double bed' bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and there is a second bathroom upstairs near bedroom n°2. Children and babies more than welcome. For a happy baby and worry free parents you will find in the villa : a high quality baby highchair and a folding baby cot. Baby safety "gates" are available ( for upstairs and downstairs). baby inflatable bath, baby monitors, bottle warmer, nightlight with a safe electrical mosquitoes repellant ( no chemicals).
Underfloor heating in every room and air conditioning (with remote control). Each bedroom has its own table and chairs set, on the balcony, to enjoy the view and private moments!

Linen and towels provided.

A three seats cushioned swing is under the pergola in the private garden area.

You will find four beach chairs.

The villa is equipped with satellite TV .We can arrange pick up at Heraklion airport for you and your family, advise you on car rental rates and directions. Just ask, we will be happy to help!

CLEANING AND HOUSEKEEPING:you will find a spotless villa. We are doing our best on this matter. We have included the final cleaning in your total bill, knowing for sure you will be nice enough to leave the villa, in an acceptable state. After a few disapointments with some incredibly rude guests ( very few but, i need to mention), we just want to highlight, that our super cleaners, are very understanding, but will definitely inform us, if they have to spend much more than their usual cleaning routine in the villa after your departure. And we trust them enough after 5 years, not to discuss their report. We will have , then , to take off the extra cleaning hours , out of the damage deposit.

PARKING AND CAR ACESS:
dear guests , as many properties in elounda, our villa is built on top of a steep street. Please keep this mind when you will rent a car. Small cars are always easier to use in this area, like suzuki 4X4 or any of these kinds. You will realise that our lovely greek neighbours have not the same conception of parking than us. Big cars, will have trouble accessing the narrow streets of aghios, and are too heavy to go up steep streets and hills.
You have your own private parking space in front of the house, but getting to the house will be much easier if you rent a smaller car. 5 years of experience taught me well!!!

Conditions

We prefer payment in Euro. We do prefer bank transfers but we do accepts payment by credit cards with PAY PAL.

How to pay? 30 % of the total amount is sent six weeks before the arrival date to secure the booking.You will receive then, the infos you need about the house and location. The total amount is due 4 weeks before your arrival date. cancellation : 30 % of the total amount if it happens 3 weeks before your arrival date : 50 % of the total amount if cancellation happens a week before your arrival date.

Security and damage deposit: 350 Euro. special rates for long term winter lets. For international customers outside the European union, add 18 Euro to cover bank charges

The Aghios Nikolaos / Elounda area

Elounda is a fantastic area of east crete, along the sea, but with aso gorgeous mountains views. There is all you can wish to spend the best holidays ever: 'blue flag' beaches, water sports, local tavernas, typical 'kafenion' ( cafés), seafood restaurants, bars, pubs, disco nights, shops, souvenirs, jewellers, bookshop and newsagents, supermarkets, latest fashions stores, all day dining, departures from the famous island of Spinalongua. Elounda is only a short drive from the Cretan 'Saint Tropez': Aghios nikolaos, where you will discover (day and night) the Cretan way of life in the summer! The pedestrian streets are famous for their shops and restaurants, market on Wednesdays will give you a taste of local products and maybe you will find time to visit Kritsa only 15mn drive from Aghios, one of the most exquisite Cretan village ever seen.
visit the Lassithi region, the monasteries, the oil farm, the archaeological sites so close to Elounda
Local activities include diving, swimming, walking, sailing, fishing, golf, wind-surfing, water skiing.
