This lovely , fully equipped ,two storey semi-detached house is just perfect for relaxing or as a base for exploring the REAL SPAIN . Located at the edge of the village Guainos Bajos the house is in a peaceful spot ( the new section of the main road , Autovia de Mediterraneo now passing some 200 metres behind the house ) yet only 3km from the lively town and fishing port of Adra and half an hourīs drive from the international tourist resorts , with golf ,of Almerimar and Roquetas. Three double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms , L shaped lounge /diner , hall , kitchen and large sun terrace , accessed from both the galleried landing and also the master bedroom, complete the accommodation . Ceiling fans are located in all bedrooms and the lounge/diner.

The Costa de Almeria region
Guainos Bajos is at the Gateway to the Alpujarras and the last village on the Almeria coast line before entering into Granada Province. Within minutes from leaving the coast the traveller is in spectacular mountainous terraine and the land of the typical Andalucian hidden white washed villages , almond groves , olive trees and the grape vines. The last vestige of the Moors, the area still reflects its history in its food , architecture and customs even 700 years after the North Africans were expelled . Further east Almeria Province becomes drier and it is here " Mini Hollywood " can be found located in Spainīs only true desert . On the coast just north of Almeria City is the National Park of Cabo De Gata an area of outstanding natural beauty and a paradise for scuba divers. All the cost of Ameria enjoys abundant sunshine throughout the year and has the perfect Mediterranean climate ; hot summers and warm winters.
Adra / Guainos Bajos area
Adra itself is a working town and port of some 20,000 inhabitants but still has much to offer the tourist ;several supermarkets , banks , a cutural centre which houses a cinema and theatre , a kilometre long promenade , new public indoor swimming pool and two long sandy beaches ,a sports hall ,tennis club and many tapas bars and restaurants . The town folk turn out in mass for its many colourful festivals each year like Semana Santa (Easter ) Los Reyes Magos ( Festival of the three Kings ) in January and The Feria ( The Fair ) in September . Guainos Bajos ,like many other of the districts of Adra too have their own festivals, such the Festival of the Virgin of Dolores in August .

Further details outdoors: Located within the village boundaries and at the heart of the Spanish community those spending time in Casa Sol Y Mar will not fail to enjoy a taste of real Spanish life. A church , a community centre ,a fountain for drinking water, one shop and a beach bar form the nucleus of the 200 inhabitant hamlet . There is an orange and lemon grove to the back of the house , as well as agricultural land and buildings .The bread van calls each day , a local fisherman stops by on his bike to sell his catch every morning and a van stops by the door every week selling fresh local market garden produce.No one could fail to be charmed by the unchanged pace of life here which particularly in summer revolves around the sea. The three distinct beaches within a two minute dtroll from the house offer sandy streches , rocky coves , ideal for snorkelling or fishing, and the convenience of a beach bar and showers and toilets.
Granada is only 90km away and Malaga 160km . A car is advisable but not absolutely necessary as the house is on a main bus route and fares are reasonable .
