Adelaide / Glenelg Beach area
The most frequented of Adelaide's many, white sandy beaches is Glenelg. Each year on the 28th of December, celebrations are held to commemorate the proclamation of the colony in 1836. Glenelg offers many activities including shopping, dining, cinema, swimming, yachting, fishing & dolphin cruises, children's 'Beach House'- mini golf, waterslides, rides, ferris wheel, beach activies to mention a few.
The local area boasts historic buildings along with fine examples of the Victorian era architecture. Glenelg has an array of shops, restaurants, outdoor cafes, bars to choose from and is in easy reach of both the International Airport and Domestic airport (all in one). The airport bus takes 25 mins and drops you outside the cottage or taxi takes 10 mins /approx AUD10.00
