Home description

This spacious well equipped villa is in a quiet residential area. It is ideal for individual families or for 2 families to share as there are 2 twin bedrooms on the ground floor sharing a bathroom and a large double and twin bed upstairs each with its own en-suite.

On the terrace round the pool there is a shady awning, a permanent BBQ and 2 large tables for al fresco meals. However there is also a good selection of restaurants within easy reach by foot in Addaia or by car to nearby villages and resorts. The kidney shaped pool has tiled Roman steps and a gentle slope with a maximum depth of 2 metres.

This is a charming peaceful spot for a relaxing poolside holiday but for the more active holidaymaker there is golf, tennis, kayaking, horse riding,cycle hire, scuba diving and beautiful countryside walking within easy reach!

The Menorca region

Menorca may be a small island but it has so many wonderful aspects that you could re-visit many many times and never discover everything! It has more sandy beaches than Majorca and Ibiza combined and on the northern shore there are stunning walks along rugged cliffs to isolated lighthouses. Mahon harbour is the second largest in the world and inland you find gentle rolling farmland with dry stone walls, small attractive towns and amazing prehistoric sites with standing stones.

The protected Albufera hosts a huge number of migrating birds at certain times of year and along the north coast is a marine reserve which provides excellent scuba diving and snorkelling. The weather is hot, dry and sunny in the summer, the food is varied, fresh and tasty and the people friendly.

Addaya / Addaia area

Addaia is a village with a picturesque yacht harbour and there are several bars/restaurants, a supermarket, gift shop and chandelry. You can hire a boat or bike here and the coastal walk starts in the countryside at the edge of the village.

It is ideally placed to explore the whole island as driving is easy. It is close to the inland towns of Mercadal and Alaior, the picturesque fishing village of Na Macaret with its small beach, the large beach resort of Arenal, the safe sandy bay of Es Grau and also the beautiful lagoon town of Fornells.

All the towns love their fiestas which are a must to view the awe inspiring Menorquin black stallions and the exciting horsemen and they are held most weekends in the summer.

How to get there

Monarch airlines, Easyjet, Thomas Cook, Thomson all fly to Mahon regularly during the season from most airports in the UK - every day is covered - and it is an easy 20 minute drive to the villa. We recommend car hire from the airport - try Ownerscars, Solmar, Menorcars or Poppy cars. Ferries from Barcelona to Cuitadella and Mahon.

There is a modern well equipped kitchen and small laundry room. The open plan sitting and dining room have 2 sets of patio doors leading to the wonderful south facing terrace. All the bedrooms are spacious with 6 full size single beds and 5' double bed and excellent fitted cupboards. The modern bathrooms are fully tiled - two of them have bidets and the bath downstairs has a shower over with shower screen. All the rooms have ceiling fans and there are mosquito blinds on all windows. There is a Mothercare stair gate for child safety.
We like to feel this villa is a real home from home with a wide selection of CDs, DVDs, books and games for your enjoyment.

Further details outdoors:
The pool area is very private and there are 6 loungers as well as 2 tables and 8 chairs with a newly built BBQ on one side. There are small side gates ensuring safety for young children. There are 2 large umbrella shades as well as a retractable awning above the sitting room door. The garden is automatically watered and has beautiful flowers, herbs, shrubs and 8 fruit trees.
Upstairs there is a door leading from the landing to a big roof terrace with a table and 8 chairs with delightful sea and country views where you can enjoy an evening drink as the sun goes down behind the house.

Cots and high chairs can be supplied at a small extra cost.
Cotton sheets and towels changed weekly.

25% deposit with booking form and the final payment to be made 8 weeks before departure with a cheque for £200 as breakage/damages deposit.
