La Cavallina
About the home
Sympathetically restored and modernised farmhouse on edge of village. It is bathed in sunlight and is quiet & peaceful. Large size rooms. Extensive covered portico surrounds the house on three sides. There is one restaurant a short walk away and many truly excellent restaurants offering fantastic value for money in the villages and nearby spa town of Acqui Terme.
The house should appeal to wine and food lovers and those wanting to be off the beaten track yet go somewhere that is easily accessible to all amenities. The village is in the heart of the wine and truffle growing district of Piedmont. Vineyards abound and most local producers are willing to let you taste and buy directly from them.
The house is set in its own 4 hectares of land - garden fields and oak wood leading steeply down to the Bormida River through an oak wood along a largely unused footpath. There is evidence of truffles in the autumn.
The Ligurian coast and beaches are readily accessible in less than 1 hour.
Skiing near Cuneo is also about 1 hour away.
