Sympathetically restored and modernised farmhouse on edge of village. It is bathed in sunlight. It is quiet and peaceful. Large size rooms with an extensive covered portico surrounds the house on three sides. There is one restaurant a short walk away and many excellent restaurants in the villages and town of Acqui Terme nearby.
The house should appeal to wine and food lovers and those wanting to be off the beaten track yet go somewhere that is easily accessible to all amenities. The village is in the heart of the wine growing district of Piedmont. Vineyards abound and most local producers are willing to let you taste and buy directly from them.

The North West Italy / Piedmont/Lake Maggiore region
The area is easily accessible by car from the UK, or by plane via Milan, Turin or Genoa.
The region is relatively undiscovered by tourists but offers fantastic food, wines and scenery. The whole area is a gastronomic and wine buff’s delight. Alba (truffles) and Asti (wines) are nearby.
The mountains and coast are accessible for day trips.
Acqui Terme / Terzo area
Terzo is a small village 3 miles away from Acqui Terme. Acqui Terme is a delightful, genteel town with a beautiful Cathedral, lovely shops and restaurants and is at the heart of the Dolcetto wine producing region.
It is famous for its “Bollente” or natural hot spring in the city centre. There are several spa establishments which offer therapeutic water and massage treatments.
There are many excellent restaurants in Acqui Terme and in nearby villages.
There are tennis courts 100 yards from the house.
How to get there
Fly to: Genoa (48 miles - 1 hour ) Turin (69 miles - 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 45 minutes, depending on traffic) or to Bergamo - Orio al Serio (84 miles - 2 hours 15 minutes to 2 hours 30, depending on traffic). Milan (Linate airport - 1 hour 45 to 2 hours, depending on traffic) Milan (Malpensa airport - 2 hours – traffic seldom a problem)
Budget airlines: Ryanair and Easyjet. Other airlines: British Airways and Alitalia
Car essential. Car hire available at all airports.
Apart from the last 30 kms, all of the journey can be done on motorway.

25% of rental fee is due at the time of booking (non refundable). Balance of rental fee is due 3 weeks before arrival and keys will be sent on receipt of balance. A refundable breakages/damages deposit of £500 is required 3 weeks before arrival together with the balance of the rental. This is refundable within 2 weeks of departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
Check in from 5pm on day of arrival; check out by 10 am on day of departure.

Arrival should not be before 5pm on the date of arrival, and departure should be by 10 am on the date of departure to enable cleaning to take place.
Utilities are included in rental except from Oct 1st 2009-May 31st 2010 and Oct1st 2010-May 31st 2011. Utilities not included in rentals from October - May are charged separately based on meter readings. Rates are negotiable on all stays exceeding 3 weeks.
Rentals are payable either in GBP or in EUR into a UK GBP account or Italian EUR account.
A charge of £75 covers cleaning before arrival and on departure.We reserve the right to add a supplementary charge if the house is left in a condition that requires supplementary cleaning.
