Our fully furnished Private Holiday House is situated at McCarthy Hill, West of Accra with a beautiful sea and hill view. The hilly surrounding provides therefore fantastic views into the valleys and to to the Gulf of Guinea. The sunset can be explicitly observed from the north-west terrace of the house - you wouldy need your camera by all means.
Our Private Holiday House has a living space of 200qm including 5 bedrooms, a big equipped kitchen (including washing machine), a dining area for 8 persons, 3 WCs, 2 bathrooms, a storeroom, 2 sitting rooms, 2 terraces (to the north and south respectively), and roughly a big garden og 5.000qm with beautiful tropical plants and flowers, eg. mango trees, coconut trees, orange and citrus trees, pawpaws, bourgainvilla, oleanders, etc. An electrical stand-by generator installed in the garage. Car parking possible on the compound.
The nearby beautiful Bojo Beach can be reached in 15 minutes by car / taxi. Accra has got lots of beaches and resorts in its neighbourhood where guests can visit for other activities other than swimming.

The Greater Accra region
Greater Accra has a population of about 3 million with a high density of traffic in the city betweem 7:30 a.m and 10:00 a.m daily. It is therefore advisable to visit the city after this period. The evening rush hour begins at about 05:00 pm and lasts at about 07:00 p.m.
There are lots of good restaurants and shopping points at Osu. The Accra Arts Centre provides guests a deep glance into the African culture. You would experience a typical African shopping atmosphere there - bargaining and buying at low or high prices.
There are many beaches and resorts in Accra and its neighbourhood which are worth visiting. The Labardi Beach is the busiest one in Accra - it takes roughly an hour to get there from the house.
Live music spots are available in many hotels in Accra - night life
Accra / McCarthy Hill area
McCarthy Hill is merely a residential area for resting after a tideous day's work in the city. Fresh air is more available there than other areas in Accra due to the hilly landscape.
The nearby Hill View Hotel provides swimming and dining facilities. There are some pubs available where one can enjoy a beer outside in the evening.

Further details indoors: Towels, beddings, tv, toaster, a BBQ, 2 coffee machines, stereo system with CD-player, video and DVD-players, vacuum cleaner, cleaning napkins and garden furniture including 2 stretchers with cushions are available in the house.
A mobile phone could be made available by the care-taker of the house when needed. Warm showering is possible. All rooms are equipped with ventilators. Airconditions are not necessary as constant fresh seebreezes prevail on the hill whole day. The house can accommodate 6 to 7 people comfortably.
Our house ist ideal for self-catering. However, meals can be taken at the near-by Hill View Hotel - 10 minutes walk from the house.
Further details outdoors: A new supermarket near the next taxi-rank can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. A second supermarket ,an African market and an internet cafe can also be reached per taxi in 10 minutes. The road to the house is tarred but for the last 300 meters - a bit rough.
It is recommended that guests hire a car to ensure better mobility in the country as a whole. Taxis are, however , available every time.

Change and washing of bedding every 14 days, saturdays 11:30 a.m. Weekly cleaning on saturdays at 11:30 a.m. Negotiations with Patricia (care-taker) who lives on the compound possible.
Two male employees care for the garden and the security of our guests.
We kindly request guests to bring their own "beach towels".
Guests are also requested to inform Patricia about broken items before choosing to replace them.
Conditions
Minimum booking 1 week.
An additional charge of 16.00 GBP per week for weekly cleaning, gas, electricity and water will be made.
Rebate on hiring tarif possible.

Rest of the payment should be done four weeks before departure to destination. Payments should be made directly through the bank into our accounts made available to guests.
