Only steps away from golden sands, blue seas and the breathtaking Ceredigion coastal path, you're sure to be amazed with the location of Elm Cottage and the abundant wildlife Aberporth has to offer. Watch dolphins in the bay, red kites in the sky and sample all the delights that seaside living has to offer.

Elm Cottage sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms on the first floor. Zip link beds in the light and spacious first bedroom give you the choice of twin beds or a king size bed. The second bedroom contains two single beds and a wash hand basin. A cot can be provided on request.

There are two modern bathrooms. The ground floor bathroom contains a WC, wash hand basin and a shower. The upstairs bathroom has a WC, wash hand basin and bath with an overhead shower.

Elm Cottage is the perfect blend of both traditional and modern accommodation. The tastefully decorated living room has two comfortable settees, a flat screen television, DVD player and a wood burning stove. The perfect place to relax after a day on the beach. There are board games, books and a collection of classic videos and DVDs for guests to use.

The dining area alongside the kitchen has a table seating four.

The kitchen is well equipped with a sink, fridge, hob, oven with grill and dishwasher. There is also a utility area adjacent to the kitchen that contains a freezer, a microwave, a separate sink and a washing machine.

To the front of the property is a small and pretty garden which overlooks the beach. There are benches to sit on and a chiminea to warm you, whilst you enjoy the fabulous views and sea air long into the evenings.

Please Note: The area is not enclosed and is alongside a road so is not suitable for unsupervised children.

The mature and enclosed rear garden is accessed through the utility room up stone steps and is set at three levels. The first level is paved and has a table and four chairs, a chiminea and a small garden pond. The second level is paved and leads to the third level, via wooden steps to a large decked area with views over the roof to the village beyond. The steep steps and pond make this garden unsuitable for unsupervised children and less mobile guests.

The Ceredigion region

Step into a gentler pace of life, discover our beautiful beaches, great walks, rivers, stunning wildlife and breathtaking scenery of the Teifi Valley and Cardigan Bay.

Cardigan, West Wales, on the estuary of the River Teifi is a very special place to visit for holidays and enjoy. Its unspoilt townscape and rich heritage provide a nostalgic backdrop to a thriving contemporary culture of the arts, festivals and events.

Today West Wales offers a special visitor experience, ideally located to explore the fabulous land and seascapes. Activity packed or pure relaxation - visitors will discover a vibrant culture, first class accommodation, great local food and a naturally thrilling adventure playground.

Aberporth

Two sheltered Blue Flag sandy beaches in Aberporth make this seaside village one of Ceredigion's favourite holiday destinations. At low tide, rock pools are exposed and seals, dolphins and otters can often be seen close to shore. The coastal path passes just by Elm Cottage providing wonderful walks passing sandy beaches, towering cliffs and rocky headlands.

With the village amenities within walking distance - including the local store, two pubs serving food and two takeaway restaurants - you need hardly leave Aberporth! However, with so many nearby places to visit you'll be tempted: the area has numerous tourist attractions and the cottages central location allows for day trips exploring the rest of Cardigan Bay and Pembrokeshire. There are many activities and attractions to entertain - golf, horse riding, boat trips, theatre and theme parks - something for all the family.

"Everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage"

Excellent location, a charming cosy cottage with all you and family could ask for as far as facilities are concerned. Literally less than a stones throw from a dog friendly blue flag beach, and two stones throw from a no dog beach-also blue flag. No complaints at all but if you have young children be aware that it is close to the road, and the lovely terraced garden is quite steep so less mobile adults and young children need to be watched.
Not sure if we should tell everyone as we will be returning, but it is one of those holiday cottages where the descriptions on line and photos don't necessarily do it justice, we will be going back -definitely

Thanks ever so much for the review - glad you enjoyed! Sam :-)
