Miniver Rose is a newly renovated 3 bedroom self catering holiday home in the heart of the beautiful Speyside village of Aberlour, with all local amenities on the doorstep!

This comfortable house sleeps 6 people (however, further accommodation to cater for groups of up to 10 can be offered with rooms in the adjacent house). In this home from home, 2 bedrooms are situated on the 1st floor with the third bedroom on the ground floor opposite the family bathroom. The comfortable lounge leads out on to a sundeck and attractive enclosed gardens. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washing machine and tumble drier.

Aberlour is a vibrant village with the Aberlour distillery at one end and the world famous Walkers Shortbread factory at the other. Both are open to visitors. The village has a good selection of amenities including a well stocked grocery shop, delicatessen, quality butcher, newagent, chemist and gift shops. Restaurants, tea shops and pubs, children's play park, bowling, tennis and swimming are all nearby.

Aberlour is in the heart of the Spey Valley and centrally located on the malt whisky trail. The renowned salmon fishing river Spey is 200m from the door step and day permits can be arranged. If walking or cycling is your interest then the Speyside Way runs through the village of Aberlour and stretches from the Moray Firth to the Cairngorm mountains. For more serious off roaders mountain bike trails are only a few Kilometers from the village and there are a number of local hills to climb. Speyside is a golfer's paradise with beautiful Highland and coastal links courses nearby. Historic castles, beautiful beaches, skiing its all here!!

A group of us stay in the guest house and the adjoining house. All the rooms were very comfortable. The facilities in the house were excellent. It has a fantastic location at the heart of Aberlour Village..Stan and Liz are excellent hosts .

"A great location for trips north, south, east and west."

This cottage is in an excellent location for doing scenic trips, visiting areas of historical importance and of course the distillery trail. Liz and Stan are very welcoming. The kitchen is well-equipped generally and there is plenty of space in the lounge. There is also an outside area which, unfortunately, we could not take advantage of because of the weather. It's a pity there is only one bathroom/toilet as 5 people would appreciate a second. A non-slip mat for the bath might prevent potential slips for those over 60! The town has a hotel and an eating pub, an excellent deli, a co-op, 2 banks and other shops all within walking distance from the cottage. It is just 2 miles from Craigellachie (can be reached on foot via a river side walkway) where there is a lovely hotel and a good whisky pub. All in all really good and we did not let the weather bother us!

"Very pleasant and enjoyable."

The property is well-maintained. The furniture, kitchen equipment, bathroom are in top shape.The rooms are large relative to European standard. The heating system works very well. Parking at the side street are aplenty and safe because the town is safe. There are good restaurants close by. Grocery store is very close. The Butcher, Dave, is only a few steps away and our rib eye steak were cut perfectly.

Stan, the co-owner, could not help us enough and is always available. We joked on him that we are not going to recommend his place so we won't have competition in booking this property in the future. It's really an excellent find and to be able to book this place at the height of the Speyside Whisky Festival is a surprise.

Free WiFi is fast with 3-6 web surfers at the same time.

Also check out Charles Gammack across the street. He made me a custom-built belt with my initial on it. He was Queen Elizabeth's saddler on her coronation.

Most of all this is a perfect location to enjoy your wee dram in every internationally-known distilleries around the area.
