"A great location for trips north, south, east and west."

This cottage is in an excellent location for doing scenic trips, visiting areas of historical importance and of course the distillery trail. Liz and Stan are very welcoming. The kitchen is well-equipped generally and there is plenty of space in the lounge. There is also an outside area which, unfortunately, we could not take advantage of because of the weather. It's a pity there is only one bathroom/toilet as 5 people would appreciate a second. A non-slip mat for the bath might prevent potential slips for those over 60! The town has a hotel and an eating pub, an excellent deli, a co-op, 2 banks and other shops all within walking distance from the cottage. It is just 2 miles from Craigellachie (can be reached on foot via a river side walkway) where there is a lovely hotel and a good whisky pub. All in all really good and we did not let the weather bother us!

"Very pleasant and enjoyable."

The property is well-maintained. The furniture, kitchen equipment, bathroom are in top shape. The rooms are large relative to European standard. The heating system works very well. Parking at the side street are aplenty and safe because the town is safe. There are good restaurants close by. Grocery store is very close. The Butcher, Dave, is only a few steps away and our rib eye steak were cut perfectly.

Stan, the co-owner, could not help us enough and is always available. We joked on him that we are not going to recommend his place so we won't have competition in booking this property in the future. It's really an excellent find and to be able to book this place at the height of the Speyside Whisky Festival is a surprise.

Free WiFi is fast with 3-6 web surfers at the same time.

Also check out Charles Gammack across the street. He made me a custom-built belt with my initial on it. He was Queen Elizabeth's saddler on her coronation.

Most of all this is a perfect location to enjoy your wee dram in every internationally-known distilleries around the area.

Drink responsibly.
