Rectory Cottage @ Old Rectory
Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Rectory Cottage is a newly converted, 2 bedroom self-catering cottage adjoining the well-established 18th Century Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast. The cottage has a private patio area with seating, BBQ and wok firepit. Bed and Breakfast basis is available whilst staying at Rectory Cottage, please enquire.
We pride ourselves in ensuring that you have a relaxed and enjoyable stay; you will be provided with a welcome pack on arrival including bread, milk and our own eggs. Children are free to use the trampoline and other toys in the secure back garden adjoining the cottage patio; egg collecting is also encouraged! We supply age appropriate toys and books for those rainy days.
Rectory Cottage is situated 600 ft from the River Usk and the beautiful Usk Valley Walk and is within easy reach of the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park, Offa's Dyke, Llanthony Valley and the Wye Valley; we are also moments from Route 42 cycle route.
For food enthusiasts the Abergavenny Food Festival is held in September - early booking is advisable. We are situated only a few minutes from Stephen Terry's The Hardwick restaurant and within a few miles of The Walnut Tree, The Foxhunter, The Bell at Skenfrith and The Crown at Whitebrook. Local pubs, including the well-known Clytha Arms, provide excellent pub food.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Old Rectory couple of weeks ago, and what can I say it was brilliant. It was just what we wanted peaceful, tranquil and the scenery was just beautiful.
Kate the owner, was very accommodating, everything that we needed was in the cottage.
Town was a 10min drive which had an Aldi and then small small shops.
Overall it was great, and we would definitely go back again.
Thank you for your lovely comments. We hope to see you again soon!
