The Tayside/Perthshire region

Under two hours from both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, 1.5 hours from Dundee airport and about 2.5 hours from Aberdeen, Inverness and Prestwick airports. 30 minutes off the A9 leaving at the A827 turn off to Aberfeldy or travelling on the A827 from Killin about mid-way between Killin and Aberfeldy.

Aberfeldy

Situated on the edge of Loch Tay in the little hamlet of Fearnan, about equidistant between the small towns of Aberfeldy and Killin, Ben Lawers is surrounded by stunning mountain views and lochside scenery. The pretty conservation village of Fortingall, with its thatched cottages and hotel restaurant and bar, is within walking distance. Fortingall is also the home of the oldest living tree in Europe! The road up Glen Lyon, the longest glen in Scotland, is just a couple of miles from Fearnan.

East of Fearnan at the head of Loch Tay, you will find the charming 16th century conservation village of Kenmore, which boasts an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and shops including The Courtyard Deli which will deliver to Shoreside. This popular village also offers many sporting activities which include 2 golf courses, water sports, horse riding and cycling as well as a lovely sandy beach and the very interesting Crannog Centre.

The small town of Aberfeldy is only 10 miles away and has a full range of shops, banks, medical centre, garage for fuel and servicing, dentist, Post Office and the new Breadalbane Community Campus which houses a library, indoor swimming pool, gym, climbing wall and many other great facilities.
