Stabal y Cwrt is a tastefully converted stone farm building with beamed ceilings and a wood burner, creating a warm, cosy atmosphere. There is also a games room on site and plenty of opportunities to see the farm animals. The cottage is also conveniently located between the beautiful seaside resort of Aberdyfi (6 miles) and Machynlleth, the Ancient Capital of Wales (5 miles). Sandy beaches, mountain walks, popular attractions and great restaurants can all be found on the doorstep, not to mention the Wales Coast Path, just 400yds away.

The fitted kitchen includes an electric cooker, fridge (with small freezer compartment), microwave and dishwasher. There is also a large chest freezer in the laundry room next door if you need more space.
The ground floor en-suite double bedroom is suitable for disabled guests. It features a stone built wall and the en-suite shower room has a walk in shower with seat.

A converted outbuilding on the farm yard also serves as a laundry and games room for the 3 holiday cottages on site. The games room includes a pool table and dart board.
There will also be opportunities to see the farm animals on the farm yard and in the fields around you.
On your arrival you will be greeted with a tea tray and a homemade cake.

The North Wales region
Situated on a farm in southern Snowdonia, Stabal y Cwrt is located down a quiet lane, half a mile from the main road. A warm Welsh welcome is guaranteed and you also have the added bonus of having a games room on site. This cosy holiday cottage also enjoys a central location between the sandy beach and seaside resort of Aberdyfi (6 miles) and the historical town of Machynlleth (5 miles).
Another historical venue is the village of Pennal, just 1.5 miles away with a small village shop and a lovely restaurant / bar. Pennal is also home to Plas Talgarth's health and leisure complex where you can treat yourself to a massage, a range of beauty treatments or enjoy the heated indoor and outdoor pools etc.
Aberdyfi and Machynlleth both offer that something special. Aberdyfi is located in a beautiful spot where the mountains meet the sea and its sandy beach stretches for 4 miles, all the way to Tywyn. Amongst its amenities is an 18 hole golf course, beautiful walks, watersports, lovely cafes and shops and a number of restaurants, with Pharoah's Cellar Bistro and Sea Breese both recommended.
A short journey in the other direction brings you to Machynlleth, the Ancient Capital of Wales where the first Welsh parliament still stands today. Machynlleth also hosts the oldest street market in Britain every Wednesday and has many other amenities including mountain bike tracks, a leisure centre and a supermarket. Recommended restaurants in Machynlleth include Bistro Twenty One and the Wynnstay.
Many other attractions are also nearby, including the world famous Centre for Alternative Technology, Corris Craft Centre and King Arthur's Labyrinth. Talyllyn steam railway offers a great day out and it also provides access to a number of scenic walks. Ynys Las RSBP Nature reserve is another popular attraction whilst the walk up Cader Idris is well worth the effort with some very rewarding views from its peaks.

Wales Coast Path – this can be joined 0.2 miles from your cottage.
Dyfi Valley Way follows the River Dyfi from the estuary in Aberdyfi to the source at the summit of Aran Fawddwy and back down along the south side of the river via Machynlleth and down to Borth. Maps and guides can be obtained at the Tourist Information Centre in Aberdyfi. Join the path from the doorstep of your cottage, in Cwrt. 0.2 miles
Bearded Lake Walk - This 10 mile walk will take you up into the hills behind Aberdyfi to Bearded Lake. 6 miles from the cottage.
Cader Idris (mountain walk) – 3 main routes starting from Minffordd (13 miles), Llanfihangel-y-Pennant (18.5 miles) and Dolgellau (20 miles).

River Dyfi offers excellent fishing and is famous for its brown trout, salmon and sea trout. 0.5 miles
Surrounded by sea, rivers and lakes, this is one of the best all round angling locations available. Try your hand at some shore fishing in Aberdyfi (6 miles) and Tywyn (10 miles) or lake fishing at Tal-y-llyn (13.5 miles).
Watersports in Aberdyfi includes sailing, sail boarding, rowing, canoeing, fishing and boat trips. 6 miles
