This period property is new to the rental market.It is a first-floor apartment that is over a hundred years old.It has been beautifully restored and furnished.It is ideal for a family.
The Master bedroom is a bright and spacious room with zip-n-link beds and can be set up with a king-size bed or two singles, depending on your requirement. It has a seating area for you to enjoy the afternoon/evening sun. You might also want to explore the book case with a good variety of books. There is a floor-to-ceiling cupboard providing great storage. Enjoy the outlook towards Edinburgh with the river Forth in the distance.
The second bedroom has full-size bunk beds and a double wardrobe. It faces south-west, too.
There is a small but nicely fitted shower room with a sink, corner shower, WC and built in storage.
The lounge is furnished with a sofa that folds down into a double bed. There is a bookcase with books, DVDs and various games. The flat-screen LED TV with Freeview and built-in DVD player is wall mounted. The feature fireplace houses a coffee table and has mood lighting. The dining area has a round table with 4 chairs. The further chairs are in the large storage cupboard in the hall.
The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cooker, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and a good selection of pots and crockery.We essentials in form of a welcome pack on arrival.
The apartment is in the heart of Aberdour, just a few minutes walk to all amenities.

The Fife region
Fife is a beautiful, rural region with easy access to Edinburgh but also a perfect starting point for exploring the rest of Scotland. The coastal villages in the East Neuk of Fife are well worth a visit. If you are up early you can watch the fishing boats coming back from their nightly trips in Pittenweem and Anstruther. St. Andrews, the home of Golf is a great for a day out. There are plenty of buses and trains to get around. Dunfermline, the former capital of Scotland and birth place of Andrew Carnegie, is a short distance away. It has a beautiful Abbey (burial place of Robert the Bruce), Abbott House and a good selection of shops and Cafes. Kirkcaldy, birthplace of Adam Smith, is easily reached, too.
Aberdour is a small but beautiful Scottish coastal village in Fife, on the north shore of the Firth of Forth. It has magnificent views of the island of Inchcolm, Leith and Edinburgh. Aberdour is on the Fife Coastal Path and has two award-winning beaches, a harbour with an old stone pier, a castle and a 13th century church as well as a fine golf course and beautifully cared for prize winning train station. Trevor the Station Master will be more than happy to assist with all travel related questions. There are some interesting shops and art galleries, a coffee shop and several pubs. Aberdour is also home to the award winning seafood restaurant, Room with a View in the Forth View Hotel down at Hawkcraig Point.

"Nice and Cozy accommodation."

"Comfortable,clean ,welcoming and thoughtful"
My family and I were delighted with our accomodation,it proved to be very comfortable and very adequate for our needs.The owner was thoughtful,even providing an Easter Egg hunt for my girls .The apartment was clean and warm with a super shower ! It is well located but peaceful. We loved it .We will be back !

"We had a warm and comfortable stay in a very well appointed apartment."
We were warm,which was very important as the temperarure outside was very cold.The beds were lovely and comfortable but we would have liked more easy chairs so that all 4 of us could have been able to relax in front of the TV in the evening.The kitchen was well appointed as we did cook in the evenings and the shower was amazing.We were already aquainted with Aberdour as we had stayed with our daughter on previous occasions,but it was handy being so close to the purple shop as we came on the train and had to cook for ourselves some of the time.The village is pretty with plenty of picturesque walks right on the doorstep.All in all just right for us as a family.

"Comfortable Stay In Aberdour"
Only a short Walk to Castle, beaches, pubs, golf course and Train Station for easy access to Edinburgh and other parts of Scotland.
The Flat was clean and comfortable.
My stay was required at very short notice and Gertrud made the whole process very easy.
The treasure hunt for the kids was a hit!!!!!!!!
Maybe we'll see you again on your next trip home. Thanks for the review. Gertrud

"Number Two, Aberdour is perfectly situated"
The heart of Edinburgh is 30 minutes away by twice hourly trains. Stroll to Silver-Sands in 5 minutes - walk to centre of village in 6 to explore interesting shops. Really a 'must' - visit Lonie's to sample wonderful cakes/ bread and meet the friendly locals. No need to cook - wide variety of Pubs and Restaurants. Recommend 'Room with a View' - excellent menu/wonderful food. For the energetic, Aberdour has fantastic 18 hole Golf course - tennis courts - sailing - bowls. Plenty to occupy yourselves and kids. Number Two is very reasonably priced so why pay Edinburgh prices! The apartment provided all our needs, was very comportable and spotlessly clean. We've already booked our next visit!
