About this location
The Gwynedd region
Aberdaron is a very pretty village near the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula with a lovely sheltered beach. Since medieval times pilgrims have visited Aberdaron on their way to Bardsey Island, Ynys Enlli, Isle of 20,000 Saints. Follow in their footsteps and visit one of the most beautiful places in Wales. This pretty holiday cottage is literally a few paces away from the Wales Coast Path.
If you can tear youselves away from Aberdaron there is another gorgeous beach at 'Whistling Sands' (Porth Oer) which is just a short drive, named after the sound made by the unique shape of the very fine sand grains. Other resorts of the Lleyn Peninsula are within easy driving distance such as Abersoch, Morfa Nefyn and Pwllhelli. And a little further afield enjoy the majestic beauty of the Snowdonia National Park.
