Bwthyn Pen Y Fan has been given 4 stars by the Wales Tourist Board. In the heart of the valleys of Wales, just a few miles south of the Brecon Beacons.

It is a quaint stone terraced self catering cottage in a semi-rural setting. Refurbished in a traditional style for the era in which it

was built (for miners and their families in the late 1800's).

All the usual mod cons for todays living, (no dishwasher). We are Eco-friendly also all linen and towels are Organic.

On your arrival a pack for you to enjoy a true welsh afternoon tea.

It has spacious accomodation for a total of four adults, plus one child (rooms include a double / twin / small single).

We are child friendly, providing high chair, travel cot, stair gates and bed rail.

We would welcome one well behaved larger dog/ two small dogs. We would appreciate it if all pets could be kept off furniture and downstairs.

Enclosed garden with secure shed and bike washing facilities. Direct access from the garden onto the adjacent mountainside.

This area is an ideal location for those who enjoy the out doors e.g. Walking / Cycling/ Mountain biking/ Fishing etc.

MOUNTAIN BIKERS LISTEN -IN: There is a new Mountain Bike centre being developed at the moment, to be up and running by

Aug/ September 2013, this is just 2 miles from the cottage (www.gethinmtb.com) also providing guided rides and free bike hire.

We have within a few minutes walk / ride of the cottage:-
The Trevithic Trail
The Taff Trail (runs from Brecon to Cardiff Bay, approx 55 miles)
The Old Roman /parish road

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jane (the owner) a message.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
