A perfectly formed holiday house in beautiful West Wales.

Every detail of the Old Milking Parlour has been carefully considered to create a stylish and relaxing home from home nestled in beautiful countryside, just a few miles from the beaches of Cardigan bay and the harbourtown of Aberareron.

With it's rough luxe styling this old stone building has been transformed to offer the luxury of a boutique hotel in the relaxed environment of a self-catering cottage. A generous decked area and large private garden overlook fields with long reaching views down the Aeron Valley.

With its limewashed walls and wooden floor the traditional old stone barn has been transformed into a light and airy open-plan living space. The living area has a large sofa (bed) and comfy fireside chair. Ideal for snuggling up in a Welsh blanket. Stoke up the woodburner and enjoy a film or good book.

Push the clever bookshelf door and enter the tranquility of the adjoining timber barn with wildflower roof that houses the bedroom and shower-room. The inside walls are clad with birch-ply giving the space a clean and relaxed feel. The bedroom has a king-size bed and hidden fold-down bunks for families.

Oak French doors open out onto a large decked area with table and chairs, and beyond to a large private garden with cherry and apple trees.

The Old Milking Parlour is surrounded on three sides by beautiful countryside with long-reaching views across fields to wooded hills beyond. The village lies just a few miles inland from the harbourtown of Aberaeron. The Cardigan Bay has some of the countries most fantastic and least visited beaches – enjoy the long stretches of sand at Penbryn, the cafes and pubs of Llangranog and Newquay, or if you're feeling adventurous ramble over the coastal path and find some of the hidden coves.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

The village of Ciliau Aeron lies just a few miles inland from the harbourtown of Aberaeron. Enjoy a drink sitting on the harbour wall watching the world go by with the sound of the gentle clink of boat riggings. The Cardigan Bay has some of the countries most fantastic and least visited beaches – enjoy the long stretches of sand at Penbryn, the cafes and pubs of Llangranog and Newquay, or if you're feeling adventurous ramble over the coastal path and find some of the hidden coves.

Aberaeron

The Old Milking Parlour is surrounded on three sides by beautiful countryside with long-reaching views across fields to wooded hills beyond. The cottage is on the outskirts of the small village of Ciliau Aeron. Take a stroll down to the wonderful walled garden at Ty Glyn or for a drink or meal try Ty Mawr or Ty Glyn Hotel.

"Relaxing hide-away"

If your looking for a contemporary getaway with all the necessary comforts I would definitely recommend the Old Milking Parlour. Location is ideal, close to the spectacular coast and beautiful local towns that offer a good selection of restaurants and shops stocking locally sourced produce. A really enjoyable stay, hoping to return.
