Villa Bencontenta is a big country house plunged into the nature and peacefulness of the Euganean Hills. This house makes an ideal accommodation for family reunions and holidays with friends, having plenty of space both outside and inside. Its 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (a 7th bedroom with bathroom might also be made available) are spacious and bright, thus granting coziness and privacy; each of them has a closet and can be prepared either with single or double beds. The common areas inside the house, such as the fully equipped kitchen, the elegant living room with working fireplace, the dining room and the big hall on the fist floor, will make you appreciate the house in every season. The private swimming pool (16 x 8 m) and the huge garden facing the house, together with the long portico equipped with tables and chairs for al fresco meals, can be especially enjoyed in spring and summer.

The villa is located in the historical estate Frassanelle, which includes in its 200 hectares: 5 holiday apartments and 3 holiday villas, a romantic park, a 18 hole golf course, 2 swimming pools (one is private for the guests of villa Bencontenta, the other is on the borders of the golf course and can be entered for free by all of the other guests), and cultivated fields. The position of Frassanelle is really unique: halfway from Padua and Vicenza, it grants also an easy access to the train station in Montegrotto, where every hour a train will take you to Venice. At the same time the estate lies far from the traffic and noise of the city, in the heart of the venetian country side: sport lovers can enjoy the many activities in the surroundings: swimming, golfing, cycling (a beautiful bike route crossing the hills is just outside of the estate), hiking, free climbing, paragliding, riding horses and playing tennis. Gourmets will be pleased, too: Euganean Hills are famous for their excellent wine and oil production, together with the many trattorias where you can taste the typical venetian food. We will be happy to assist our guests and help them organize nice daily trips, not only to the cities of art, but also to the most beautiful and hidden destinations, such as medieval hamlets, castles, museums, gardens and villas.

The Veneto region

Veneto is among the most visited regions in Italy, and the reasons of this success are many: its variety of environments, ranging from mountain, to lake, to seaside, to the countryside, so that visitors can enjoy Veneto in every season ; its worldwide famous cities of art, such as Venice, Verona and Padua, attracting every years millions of visitors; its richness in art and architecture, with the famous Palladian buildings and the many villas and gardens spread on the territory; and its tradition for great food and wine: Veneto is actually the region with most DOC wines, having 17 ares of wine production where Amarone, Soave, Bardolino Prosecco and Valpolicella are made.

Veneto is also a region of events: in summer you cannot miss the many food and wine festivals that are scattered all around and it is also a good chance to get in touch with local people and see the most true side of Veneto; while in autumn and winter the cities organize plenty or art exhibitions, music festivals, culture events among which you can choose.

So, if you are looking for a relaxing holiday plunged into nature, or for an active holiday full of sightseeing or sport, Veneto is the place where you want to be!

Abano Terme

Euganean HIlls are a low mountain chain outlining in the western side of Padua province. They have been inhabited since VIII century b.C and were a strategical position during Middle Ages, so that the whole area is plenty of archeological discoveries, castles, medieval hamlets and perfectly preserved walled towns. Among the unmissable sites we recommend a visit to: Montagnana, Este, Monselice, Arquà Petrarca, Castello di San Martino and Castello di Valbona. Besides the historical aspect, another reason to visit Euganean Hills is their luxuriant natural environment, which makes them an oasis of peacefulness and a real heaven for those who love walking, cycling, free climbing and paragliding. They are at the same time a place full of life and poetry and you will be amazed to discover their hidden corners: the ruins of an ancient monastery, a low hill surrounded by vineyards, an abbey where monks still produce and sell healing products made with plants. The area is also welcoming in the colder season, thanks to its thermal springs that have made the fortune of Abano and Montegrotto, two renowed towns for spas nd wellness treatments.
