The town of Albufeira is well known as the centre of tourism in the Algarve. There are a large number of bars, restaurants of all kinds, nightclubs and shops all packed into an area known as 'The Strip' This is a short taxi ride or 10 minutes drive from the apartment. The rest of the Algarve is full of Golf courses and some of the best beaches in Europe. The Portugese people are friendly and shopping can be a real joy for the ladies because of the diversity of the shops especially if you travel along the coast to Faro or west to Portimao.
