“Amazing view” The villa is set in a stunning location with direct access to the sea. As it was august and very hot, we loved having the platform next to the sea, which seemed to be very rare for the amalfi Coast - in general access to the sea during high summer seemed quite limited or very expensive at private beaches. Although this was shared with other villas there was always plenty of room, sunbeds and umbrellas and often we had this to ourselves. We were looked after very well and Franco organised taxis and a boat trip to Capri, which we would highly recommend as we were picked up and dropped back directly at the villa. The location is great with a ten minute walk into the town, which we did to get fresh bread each morning from the bakery. The town also had a very good selection of restaurants, shops and ice cream bars. Plus we hired sea kayaks and pedalos on the beach in the town. The villa itself was very nice and we felt it was even better than the photos. It was a very good size for a family of four. In relation to comfort the only very slight negative was that as a sufferer of a bad back, I found the bed very hard - but no one else found this a problem. The kitchen was very well equipped, but everything tasted good when you had supper on the balcony overlooking the bay. We were lucky enough to celebrate a couple of birthdays while we were away and were very touched that the owners brought down some cakes during the evening of my husband's birthday. We were made to feel welcome and had a fantastic holiday and hope to return in the future. The only word of caution is that it helps to be moderately fit as there are plenty of steps - although it did provide an excuse to have an extra cake or ice cream!

“Magical and unforgettable family vacation...breathtaking!” Our family vacation at the Dimora di mare villa was an unforgettable experience thanks to the enchanting surroundings and the warmth and graciousness of our hosts..Renato and annalisa. The villa is absolutely breathtaking with endless views of the Mediterranean. The rooms are furnished exquisitely and the bathrooms are beautiful. Every detail of this villa reflects the passion for it by its owners. We were greeted by Renato with open arms and immediately were made to feel welcome in his home. He took us on a tour of the villa from the sea access area up to the fantastic roof at which the views were amazing! Housekeeping services are provided daily and if one wishes meals can be scheduled. We had a delicious buffet breakfast prepared for us each morning by beautiful and delightful Marguerita. She was kind enough to allow me to speak my version of Italian with her and we seemed to understand each other enough to laugh and smile! She was ever so kind to my family(speaking Italian with our family translator Gina) and I will always remember her with affection. Renato and annalisa are the perfect hosts and their home is located in a perfect location for a memorable and dreamlike vacation of a lifetime. We look forward one day to returning to this magical place once again. Thank you to our hosts and the staff at Dimora di Mare.

“A great relaxing week in a beautiful villa” We had a fantastic week on the amalfi coast. Il Monaco is a perfect base. Everything about it was lovely from the cool fresh bedrooms to the stunning views! Having the swimming platform was also great. We would like to say a big thank you to Franco who looks after the property for anna for all his help as it took away any stress for us. Franco picked us up from the airport and drove us to Minori via the beautiful scenic coast road. We had 2 wonderful trips to Capri by speed boat and Pompeii by air conditioned bus. He also helped us organise these trips with his local knowledge.The boat even picked us up from the swimming platform. The town of Minori was lovely with fantastic restaurants and cafes. It has a very friendly,relaxed atmosphere. We walked to Ravello via the steps along a bit from the villa which was amazing and took about 1 hour. The views from there are stunning. We would love to come back maybe at cooler time to do some more exploring. On the return journey to the airport Franco took us a different which takes a little longer via the mountains which open up to reveal the Bay of Naples which was breathtaking.

“Albicocca perfect location” Our stay in july 2011 at the albicocca in amalfivacation was a wonderful experience. Plenty of room in our 2 bedroom + fam/rm villa with a gorgeous outdoor bbq area shaded by lemon trees and bougainvillea plants. A little walk into the town of Minori provided us with fresh fruit and vegies as well as all the other delights such as beautiful pastries from the " pasticceria". The local people were very friendly and very helpful . The few steps to the " infinity" pool were well worth the climb as the view was amazing and my daughters and I spent many hours just admiring the amalfi view from that pool! Franco and staff extremely helpful, we cant wait to revisit in a few years time for my husband's 50th!! ( without children this time )Cheers
