“Watch the Sunrise from Your Bed” This delightful condo is the best of the Palma Real properties because it has it's own ocean front deck and side patio facing the pool. We stayed 9 days in January/February 2012 and couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. Everything advertised was right-on and the photos were exactly what they appeared to be. The property manager was available each day to see if we needed anything and to answer questions. He provided airport transportation and had groceries waiting for us at check-in. Both the pool and beach area were well maintained, and the level of security was at 5 star standards. The beds were very comfortable--hotel quality! The laid-back atmosphere of the small condo and the easy going life of Puerto Morelos central, where we felt more attuned to the local population, made this trip especially fun. While the walk to town is a pleasant 15 minutes, we frequently took a cab (cost about $2.50). We recommend a short taxi trip to "colonia" across the main highway to a local fruit market where you can buy a "bag" of fresh orange juice for $1.00 (delicious) and for much nicer fruits and vegetables and than what you will find in the store on the square. Tips: Look for the street vendor at night on the square and try a Marquesita which is a thin, rolled up pastry filled with chocolate or other goodies. There is a small taco grill open at lunch time, located outside a restaurant about 1/2 block south of Pelicanos, with wonderful little tacos which we ordered up and took home for lunch on several occasions. The owner of this condo, Neville Gardner, was easy to talk to and answered all our questions promptly. The property was all it was advertised to be and I heartily recommend it to anyone. The only negative I can give is the walk to town because my husband has limited physical abilities. However, for my son and me, the walk was refreshing. Overall, a great vacation!

“Izamel 2 Feels like Home” Izamel 2 is great. Two bedrooms, comfortable living room and plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. We loved it! Convenient walk to central square. Tiff, Abbey and staff were always there to answer our questions and help us out with grocery shopping and water! We will definitely be back.

“Delightful retreat in Puerto Morelos” After 17 days in the hustle and bustle of Merida, our stay at Abbey del Sol in Puerto Morelos was very relaxed and enjoyable. Located a couple of minutes walk to the beach or a 20 minute stroll into the main town, things were easy to get to. Our rental unit was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. The staff were pleasant and most helpful and answered all queries politely, offering many tips on where to eat and visit. We would not hesitate to return.

“THE BEST” Ideal location -- two easy blocks from the beach and a lovely 8 block walk to town. The casita was equipped with everything I could have wanted -- refrig, microwave, cable TV, terrific a/c (for Aug. weather), outdoor shower to after the beach. Within a day, the casita felt like home only better. Abby, Tiff and Pilar were warm, helpful, and resourceful -- the best!

“Great place to share!” Our 10 days at Casa Anita werea all we expected and more. The house is lovely, with lots of light and space, feels a lot larger than it actually is. My wife was attending a workshop nearby, so we had friends for dinner several nigths at the terrace, the grill and kitchen equipment allows to entertain a group of at least 8 people. Don´t need to bring anythig but your clothes, shampoo and sunscreen, as the kitchen is fully equiped and the house has everyting you´ll need, from towels and beach towels to beach chairs, bicyces, etc. Already planing our next, hopefully longer visit!

“Good hosts and rental accommodation in Puerto Morelos” Both my wife and I enjoyed out stay at the Casa very much, which got off to a good start when we were met personally by both Rob and Joanne. They ensured that everything was in order and that we had everything we needed. Being Christmas Eve upon our arrival, we appreciated them providing some of the necessities so that we could prepare some food. Our walking distance to the beach was 400 yards/meters so it took next to no time to get to the beautiful white sand and turquoise water. The other thing that worked out very well for us was being about an 8 minute walk from the village square with restaurants and shops along the way. It is so easy to relax when you know that everything is close to hand and your accommodation is safe and secure. The cleaning staff did a good job plus we found that everything that we could have needed was provided right down to the cork screw and bottle opener which in turn made our stay in the casa worry free. We have no problem in recommending this accommodation or hosts for anyone who wishes to stay in the area and we have indeed, already recommended some friends and look forward to staying here again when we are down next, hopefully by the end of the years.

“Great Stay” I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in Puerto Morelos. While we had a few bumps - we got a different room than we reserved - it was all taken care of quickly and professionally. And, looking back, we actually got put into a room with a nicer patio and the owners went out of there way to ensure we were happy and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and we would certainly go back.

“VACATION IN PUERTO MORELOS , MEXICO” We fell in love with Puerto Morelos and the mexican people. Our house Casa Mulder is very charming and worked well for us 6 people. (8 people - I don't think works so well) Puerto Morelos has some 40 restaurants. We visited several of them and ate fabulous dinners. Can strongly recommend Puerto Morelos and Casa Mulder.

“Great place for families” We fell in love with Puerto Morelos and this apartment. We could easily stay here for a very long time and will for sure come back. There was some water problems, but that is almost to be expected in Mexico. Works very well for family with kids who needs the extra space and convenience to the pool area + it has all the equipment you need for a comfortable stay. We will be back!

“Abbey del Sol is a great place to stay!” This was our second year staying at Abbey del Sol in Puerto Morelos, and we have already booked our third trip for March 2013! And each year we increase our length of stay. We have stayed in three different units between Abbey 1 and Abbey 2 and we have enjoyed all of them. Abbey del Sol is perfect for travelers who want to have their own space that is bigger than a hotel room (you have your own apartment, equipped with a kitchen) and who don’t need to be pampered. That isn’t to say that the staff doesn’t take care of you – they do! You can cook your own meals if you want or you can walk or bike into town and pick from many different restaurants – Mexican, Italian, Chinese, steakhouse, and more! You are also only a slow, five-minute walk from the beach, which is very sandy. Abbey del Sol is fantástico!
