Lanzarote's Puerto del Carmen is the island's longest-established resort, and has two main areas. The area around the harbour and the Old Town are full of winding streets and quiet bars and restaurants. The newer part of town has a promenade and all the nightclubs and shops you would expect from a popular resort. There are miles of sandy beaches and a range of watersports to choose from.
