It pays to let by sharing a property with extended family or close friends, which can halve the costs and halve the work. Self-catering holiday homes provide the flexibility and freedom that make the surroundings feel like a home from home. With the purse strings tightening day by day, the thought of a luxury family summer holiday can feel out of reach, but luxury holidays need not have a luxury price tag.
