“A fabulous weekend away!” A lovely, cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings. The cottage was well-equipped and extremely comfortable. We and the dogs had a superb time. Meals at The Ship were good, the staff extremely welcoming. We had a fantastic meal at The Cafe. We would have eaten at Millers had the staff been a little more accommodating - we wanted Sunday lunch - we were told we should have booked as chef was very busy! Porlock Weir and the village of Porlock just charming and the woodland walks from the cottage were great. The only disappointment was the lack of dog-friendly beaches along the coast. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

“Lovely location in comfortable accommodation” Harbour House is very conveniently situated amongst all of the amenities - a lovely pub, ice cream and gift shops. The views from all of the windows are the best that staying in Porlock Weir has to offer. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, watching the world and the little housemartins go by. It is very comfortable and homely - the only criticism being the lack of a shower. The owner was very welcoming and on hand for any queries. We enjoyed the coastal walks from Porlock Weir and would definitely like to return in the future.

“Great little cottage” Lovely cottage in a great setting. Really appreciated the welcome tea, coffee, bread etc - but if you like ground coffee take your own coffee maker! That really seems to be the only thing missing in a very clean and well appointed place. Also if you have a low slung car watch the entrance and enter as far over to the right as possible- we scraped the bottom of our ordinary Hyundai 3i when we arrived.

“A home away from home overlooking the sea and hills of coastal E” We really enjoyed our short stay here. The owners next door were warm and welcoming and gave us local knowledge about the countryside. Following their advice we walked along the coastal path and through the woods to visit the mysterious Culbone church. This was a highlight and we wish we had had more time to explore the beautiful surroundings. The cottage itself is clean light and airy and thoughtfully arranged. We hope to come back again.

“A delightful escape to the country!” The handover instructions are easy to follow and the contact with the owner minimal unless you have a problem. There's a welcome bottle of milk and wine, and some other necessities to get you going.Plenty of leaflets and a book of local amenities and eating places support the clear instructions of the use of the property. Most of all, it is like walking into a secluded haven, comfortable, clean and user friendly. We have dogs and it's a perfect property for them too. We will go back and back.
