Villa Bori Porec - Luxury two-bed apartment
Make Katja @ Villa Bori your only option when you go to Porec

This is my first ever Tripadvisor review. I will also review our apartment in Rovinj. My good lady and I have just returned from a 14 day trip to Croatia. 8 days were spent in Porec, 5 in Rovinj. More on the latter in a separate review. Katja's apartment is very well situated, located in Spadici. It is a 5 minute walk from a large beach which offers sun loungers, entertainment and a great choice of food and drink. It's suitable for couples and families alike and reasonably priced. In Spadici you have a number of cafes, restaurants and a couple of small shops where you can change your currency. Slightly further down the coast you have Porec town and a number of other beaches. From Spadici you can get a train into Porec Town. This train runs from 8.30am with the last train returning to Spadici at midnight. The train takes around 7 minutes and it costs around £1 single. Job done on that score. The pictures of Villa Bori probably dont do it justice. We had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom equipped with a great shower, a decent sized kitchen that came well equipped and a large hallway. You also had 2 TVs in the apartment and the WIFI was always 100%. The apartment was very well maintained, your rooms are cleaned without fail every day, towels changed daily and drinks/snacks are replenished more than once per day. These sit in the hallway that leads to most of the bedrooms. There was a lovely table, 6 chairs and 2 large parasols set up in the front garden of Villa Bori which went down well: us scots like to sit in the sunshine with a drink or two when we are on holiday. The air conditioning was effective and Katja couldn't have been any more helpful. An iron/ironing board was always delivered to your room on request. During our stay she advised us on the best local restaurants, the best eateries that catered for tourists and the best local beaches. She even went that little bit further and drove us to a lovely beach off the beaten track and a great local restaurant. To top it all off Katja even offered to take us to the bus station the morning that we set off for Rovinj. A number of examples of Katja's helpfulness and kindness. Finally I would like to say that Villa Bori also offer free bicycle hire for the duration of your trip. Not only did this come in very handy for getting to a host of beaches, restuarants and other areas in Porec it also saved us a few quid. If we had rented bikes for our 8 day stay in Porec we would have spend upwards of 1200 kuna (local currency and converts to roughly £15). Both bikes were of a very high standard and came with padlocks. Thanks Katja, you more than helped us settle into the resort and made our stay one to remember. … see more

Perfect!

This was the perfect place for 2 couples! It was close to town and the owners were incredibly hospitable. Angelo even drove us to the bus station in the wee hours of the am. Antonela and her husband were delightful and so helpful to us when we had a few problems in a foreign country. We are indeed grateful for their help. … see more

Great location close to beach and Porec

Very welcoming, friendly owners; apartment in good condition and in quiet village only about 5 mins drive from Porec beaches. Nice swimming pool at the house. Playground for kids just about 2mins walk away - so perfect for children of all ages. The internet unfortunately was super slow (I guess still ADSL or similar), so with three apartments in the house, we even struggled with emails. No shutters or dark curtains on the windows, so it got really warm during the day as the aircon unit was just too small and inefficient to cool down the whole apartment. Worth putting another aircon in and putting dark curtains up or shutters on the windows - makes it more pleasant in the evenings / during the night. … see more
