“Fabulous house for big groups/families” We were a groupie of 17 adults and a one year old. We were there for my 60 th birthday, we all had an amazing time, the house was spotlessly clean, each and every one of our group could not find any fault. We also booked the hot tub at last minute, so glad we had, it was great, some one was always in it. The bedrooms were all lovely and again spotless. We hope to be back.

“Great Location” We spent almost 6 weeks at Church View and loved every minute. The house is easily big enough to accommodate a family of 4, plus extended family for Christmas Day, parking is not an issue and the property was always warm. The location is second to none, the area is safe, with easy access to Chesterfield town centre (25min walk) and the Peak District. Have already booked another 6 week stay next year.

“A cottage of charm and character right in the pretty village centre” This charming cottage has a great location in a pretty village and is a gentle stroll to The Barley Mow pub which we would recommend for food. The kitchen is well equipped and it is comfortably furnished. There is an outdoor eating area, although the steps are steep in the garden. Great walks in the area. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return again sometime.

“Perfect!!!” Everything about our stay was perfect. The location was close to Matlock but far enough to ensure that our stay was peaceful. The local pub was very friendly and the food was very good. The cottage has a really nice layout and is perfect for couples planning to spend a few days in the Peak District. The owner of the cottage is very friendly and happy to help you. I will definitely be staying at The Old Creamery again in the near future.

“Fantastic hospitality from owners, great for groups and perfect base to explore the Peak District” This quirky cottage surpasses all expectations you would have about a group countryside getaway. We took some friends to stay in the old mill and cottage (the cottage can be rented separately for 2 people) and had a great week/weekend away from everything, We found this to be a perfect location to visits many close-by tourist attractions including Alton Towers. There was ample space and a lovely spiral stairway leading downstairs to the kitchen and outdoor area, complete with BBQ. Added bonuses are Sky+, Gas BBQ, Supermarket close by in car, Board games &Lots of space!

“Fine time at Friths Cottage” Lovely cosy well equipped little cottage,that is situated very near all required ammenities - pubs,supermarket,restaurants,newsagents & even tourist information.It is just off the market square though you would never guess that as it has a wonderful quiet seclusion with a nice patio garden. We had some lovely days out as ashbourne is well situated for many interesting outings,we visited Heights of abraham in Matlock,Alton Towers & Sheffield. When the weather was not so good,we had cosy evenings in with the tv & stereo,just a shame we couldn't have sat out in the garden more.Would definately book again.

“Beautiful cottage” Perfect location for visiting Alton Towers and Chatsworth and the dales. The cottage was excellent, beautifully furnished to a high standard and very clean and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and it made a change to have good quality bedding and towels in a self catering property. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

“Total Relaxation in a beautiful cottage, in beautiful, peaceful location.” This is a gorgeous cottage, extremely comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. The use of owners swimming pool is a big bonus. Owners are very welcoming and helpful. There are some very good places to eat within a short drive. A very good area for walking and cycling. Would most definitely recommend.
