“Ideal location, comfortable, warm and well appointed.” We found the house to be ideal for our short stay, warm with under floor heating and ample heating, with wi fi and freeview tv. Close to Oban for visits, even within walking distance, a short drive otherwise. The patio looked good although not time of year to enjoy it! We would consider staying again if available.

“Amazing views amazing cottage!!” Wow! We fell in love with Atlantic Bay cottage and left very reluctantly. It’s an amazing place with breathtaking views that are everchanging. We hardly had the tv on all week, and lost touch with the world because we couldn’t pull ourselves away from the views. The cottage was lovely and clean and everything was thought of. It was a real home from home. The garden was huge and the children loved charging about on it and playing badminton. We really enjoyed being able to just walk to the end of the garden and onto the rocky beach. The slate and stones are beautiful and we spent hours exploring, rock pooling, kayaking and fishing from there. We even built an oven from the stones snd had a fire and bbq a few times. We saw otters in the mornings on the rocks in front of the house. The trip to Easdale island was lovely and we found it a beautiful and fascinating place. We enjoyed luing and tiree too. The fish and chips at Oban was delicious. We really hope to return to this beautiful place and would highly recommend it. The only small feedback we would give is that it needs more freezer room. When you’re self catering for a week, this would help. Also, a two slice toaster makes breakfast for 8 quite drawn out. These are just minor things though and otherwise, we found the cottage perfect. The bottle of vino on arrival was most welcome too thank you.

“Going back again next year” We'd been expecting a lot from Seabank Lodge and we weren't disappointed. We (couple with 2 teenagers and a dog) spent a week there in July. It was considerably more expensive than our usual rentals but I feel it represented value for money as the standards of accommodation and service were so high - great attention to detail but very relaxed and not fussy - the perfect combination for us. When you choose to holiday in the west of Scotland you accept that the weather is likely to be mixed and this was the case for us. The calm and airy living space (with wi-fi for the teenagers - faster than we had at home!) has a huge picture window with amazing views up the loch. We could just sit and watch the weather go past (partly what makes the west of Scotland so beautiful and atmospheric) from the warmth and comfort of a chair with a book and a cup of tea (or glass of wine depending on the time of day!). When the weather was better we climbed some Munros (plenty within striking distance) and then nursed the aching muscles in the hot-tub surveying the hills we had just bagged - amazing! Good cycling around too (the cycle path means you don't have to go on the busy main road) - may take a boat / kayaks next time. Just chilled with books and games when the weather wasn't so good - so relaxing. House very well equipped to a high standard - lovely bedding/towels, good kitchen stuff and I loved the nespresso machine for the daily caffeine fix. Sandy is very approachable so you know she's there if you have a query but as everything is so well organised we didn't need to see her all week. Hot-tub was (very discretely) checked daily. We've already booked to go back next year and have some friends join us for part of it. It got the unanimous vote as a venue as it was just sooo relaxing. My only comment for improvement would be an enclosed part of the garden for the dog - we had to keep him on a lead all the time outside (but we have a disobedient dog if there's something more interesting on offer like the neighbour's chickens!). Although it's a very quiet location there are some large lorries going to the fish plant nearby - only a couple of times a day though.

“Great getaway” Really enjoyed our stay at Sleepy Bear Cottage. Five minute drive from Oban, but in a quiet location. Everything you could wish for is here, including a wonderful hot tub. Good communication from owner, which is very reassuring. Only sorry our stay was so short. Would definitely visit again - only for longer!
